I could write a book. All I will say is that if you have a dog with an ongoing illness- this is NOT where to take them. I understand this is a teaching hospital but having to repeat yourself to different students and vets each time you come in is exhausting. They clearly had not collaborated with each other or communicated with each other on my pups condition. She seemingly was a new patient to them every time we came in. I would think that having a consistent doctor would be more important and not multiple doctors who don't know why your dog is there in the first place. I literally got told by a doctor that they didn't know the previous had already put my dog on steroids.

I wasnt going to post but just got a letter from them that put me over the edge. Literally the worst experience. They took my dog as soon as I walked in not even knowing what was going on. Talked to the student to tell her what was going on (while my dog was elsewhere) then told me shed be back in a minute or two. She came back with the doctor an hour and a half later. The doctor and student were both very nice but were very bad at explaining things in a way someone could understand if they didnt have a medical degree. I wasnt given a rough estimate on how much it would cost to be there until 5 minutes before I was walking out. To say I had sticker shock is an understatement. On my way out the receptionist told me have a great night which was the cherry on top to three grand and the doctor telling me my dog would have to stay in the ICU for a long period of time (she didnt actually have an idea of how long a long time was). I got several calls with updates and ended up having the tough decision of euthanizing my puppers. After I told the doctor the choice I made, I requested she stopped running tests so my dog could have some peace. The doctor kept running tests and ended up calling me back to either have a $10,000 to save my dog for the night (not to solve the problems she came in with) or I would have to drive back (an hour and a half drive) at midnight to say goodbye. I ended up getting a little over a grand back from the estimate/downpayment 4 days after my dog was there. (In other words I paid almost 2 grand to have my dog there for less than 12 hours and not even get to bring her home.) To top this all off, I get a letter a month later saying they didnt have all of my charges in order when they refunded me so I still owe them money. *PSA I looked through the reviews after all of the happened and there were a handful 1-2 star reviews saying they had pretty much the same experience and the total star review was 3.3. Now all of the sudden (a month later) they have a 4.9 star review and those bad reviews are nowhere to be found.
