My advice: proceed with extreme caution. I’d like to hope that Dave from D&D was just having a bad day when he literally walked off the job before it was finished, after his crew messed up an exterior paint job that he didn't want to take responsibility for. That said, I know I’d never, under any circumstance, consider using Dave again and it's sad because if he had handled this issue differently, I would have been a great reference for him. Things were going reasonably well for the first 3.5 days of the project. Then, he became accusatory and incredibly defensive before seeing the poor paint job applied by his crew that I informed him of. He then acknowledge one issue after I sent a video but defended most of their work. At the end of it all, he left me with damaged doors from a botched effort to clean up the paint job and an unfinished job with no sealant, a messed up deck railing, a Trex plank with a huge gouge out of it, and an unfinished interior repair job. I’ve generally had great experiences with contractors up until hiring Dave for this sizable project. I only went with him because he was on my HOA’s website as a preferred vendor but he’s since been removed from that list too. The pics below are just a few examples of what he left behind. Services: Remodeling, Refurbishment, Painting

We had a fire in our garage, and hired D&D. The workers did a great job and did everything up to standards. The reason I’m giving a 2 star is because of the way the owner Dave approached things today. As of yesterday, we have paid everything to D&D that we have so far received from the insurance company. Thousands and thousands of $$$. The first initial quote on the garage was not correct, so more things were added to the quotes as the work went on. therefore more money was needed from the insurance company. Each time Dave told the insurance company more money was needed, the insurance company had to send separate checks. Every time we received a check from the insurance company, I would go and deposit it, then give the money to Dave by check the following day. We have now received the final check of $500 yesterday. Dave texted me today (while I’m at work) saying he needs the money. I told him I’m at work and I can’t get it to him right now, unless he wants to sign up for PayPal, or another electronic form it payment. He told me no and said he is going to pick up the check. I told him 5 times that I’m at work and I can’t do anything about it right now unless he wants to do and electronic form. He then told me he’s going to file a lien on my house, and continued to harass me over text while I’m at work. I told him over and over there’s nothing I can do and by the time I get home the bank will be closed and there’s nothing I can do about it right this second. He then called my dad and said I’m being difficult. And told me I was being rude to him as well. Unbelievable. This guy has not been professional about the way of payments. So rude.
