Brownstone on State

The food was good, and the decor nice, Their has been so much management turnover (as of early 2014) that I would be concerned about what to expect when walking in the door. The staff was great when I was there though. Elizabeth seems to be doing well, but I hear that she isn't there any more. Someone call restaurant impossible.....

Ended up here on Saturday night 8/17; by chance. Who knew that there was someplace decent in the middle of Indiana corn fields that has both great food and service. The host and waitress were fantastic. The drinks are strong (which is nice!). Have to say the salmon was one of the best I have had in a long time. The chocolate chip cookies were great, ended up buying some for take-a-way. Will be back next month when I am back in the area for work. Thanks for a great evening.

I ate at the Brownstone cafe' today after 4 years away from Whitley County, and I was impressed to say the least! It is most definitely the shining light for the community as far as dining is concerned. The menu is very good for the area, dining room looks like it could fit in any big city, service was great, and a good time was had by everyone with me. I was able to chat with the owner and she seemed very friendly and focused on community and putting out quality items. Would recommend to anyone!!!

Best thing to happen to South Whitley in the last decade. The owner's are terrific and go out of their way to please. The food is wonderful.
