I could not any more strongly recommend that you stay at the Maxam House in Princeton, IN. My girlfriend and I stayed in the Luxury Suite at the Maxam House on the night of Friday, October 4th. Neither of us had ever stayed at a bed & breakfast before, so we really had no idea what to expect. The only thing that ended up being at all weird about our stay was that it wasn't weird at all. The house and its history are both amazingly beautiful, and we both felt like it was a privilege to be able to enjoy the home for the night. Equally as impressive and satisfying, though, were the owners of the home. Tim and MaryFran could not have been more kind and hospitable to us, and I don't know how they could have any further exceeded our expectations. We were served frosted brownies topped with freshly sliced strawberries in the evening, and a delicious breakfast at the time of our choosing the next morning. We really weren't expecting everything that the entire experience has to offer, and we were both left more than satisfied the historic home, the Stranskys genuine kindness, and our choice to stay at the Maxam House over a boring hotel. We definitely look forward to staying at the Maxam House again. Thank you, Tim and MaryFran, for treating us like we were a part of you family.

This house is absolutely beautiful. The vintage charm is obvious, but it's also a little updated. Thank goodness for the modern amenity of air conditioning! The owner is very helpful and accommodating as well. It is conveniently located near local eateries, grocery, pharmacy, restaurants, downtown area... This home stands out in a very nice neighborhood as a gorgeous historic home. The home is nicely furnished and the whole place is full of things to look at and admire. The bed is very comfortable and the rooms are well equipped like a nicer hotel... Fridge, TV with cable, it's own bathroom, AC (one room even has a spa!), fresh linens, etc. Each room is decorated so cute! There is a big shared refrigerator and kitchen, a TV room with Netflix and a huge DVD library. We haven't had breakfast yet but I'm really excited for it! This is a lovely place to stay and I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area. **Update: Breakfasts were delicious!
