Allstate is a sham. Accident forgiveness my but. I was with Allstate for over a decade and never filed a single claim. My daughter got into an at fault accident and Allstate was terrible. We were only 800 dollars away from not having my new car totalled. But Allstate sent in an someone who took value away from my car. One of the things that really angered me was that when the accident occurred, they deducted from the value the pop stains on the seats because when the airbags went off from the accident pop flew over the seats. Seriously, you deducted that from the value of my car. Also, in Indiana we have terrible hail and we had some hail damage. They made up a mock claim for the hail damage and deducted that from the value of the car ( even though the entire front of the car needed to be replace bacause of the accident). After totaling my car they continued to charge me for the car on the insurance policy because they " forgot to take it off". Afterwards I noticed my insurance almost doubled, so I asked about their accident forgiveness and they said they weren't charging me more for the accident! I stayed another 3 years until my daughters accident was off. Then I called to cancel my policy on Feb 1 for a cancellation date of Feb 12. They asked why and I told them. I paid my payment Jan 20th of almost 300 dollars, but today got a demand for payment of 94 dollars. When I called to find out what was going on, they said it is to cover from Feb 3rd to the 12th. I explained that it was my understanding that my Jan 20th payment was for Feb 3 to March 12. Since when does insurance companies let you pay AFTER coverage begins. What a fraud of a company. I will pay this, but I will NEVER go back to Allstate or recommend them to anyone! I will most definitely stir friends and family away from this company!
