Dinner was wonderful, as usual. The wait staff was friendly. Sublette's is one of my favorite restaurants.

My friend called two days in advance for a wedding party of 20 to sit together. We were told multiple times over multiple phone calls that they were able to accommodate us. This included the day of the reservation. We arrived and our tables weren’t set up properly, they said they would move them, but walked off and we started moving them ourselves. TRUDY walked in and we were explaining why we were moving them, but she proceeded to get in my friend’s fiancé’s face and in a VERY NASTY, CONDESCENDING TONE told her that the fire exit couldn’t be blocked. We weren’t blocking it at all and she pointed to an employee door and not the fire exit. She ran off to the manager (apparently her mother because she called for her mom, which is unprofessional) when my friend’s fiancé tried explaining why we were there. JESSICA and TIFFANY came in with amazing service that was above and beyond. It seemed like they had no help from the back end of the house and were very rushed because it was near closing time when our food even started coming out of the kitchen. It came out horribly timed as half of our table got their food before the other half. During our service, one of our guests asked another waitress, JUSTINE, if she could have some Parmesan cheese and she responded, “Yes, but I’m not your waitress.” JESSICA and TIFFANY worked as hard as they could and we again appreciate their amazing service. Another table suffered because of Sublette’s lack of communication because our party was told they couldn’t seat anyone until we all arrived, but they made another table that was already seated wait an unreasonable amount of time for service. Sublette thought they were with us. Lastly, there was a hidden surcharge on use of credit cards that we were not informed of and there was no posting anywhere about. Overall we would highly NOT RECOMMEND bringing large parties here and we would HIGHLY RECOMMEND that Tiffany and Jessica find jobs with an establishment that cares about their customers during the entire service and not only during business hours. It is worth noting that the food was very good, but it was overshadowed by the horrible attitudes, customer service skills, and over all lack of friendliness of Trudy (a bartender) and Justine (a waitress). The review is 1 star only because 0 isn’t possible.
