Seriously terrible Thai food. Tom kha was brown and tasted like beef bouillon. Pad thai was hot, but didn't taste Thai. If you like Thai, stay away.

The food here used to be great, my wife and I both love Thai food and jumped at the opportunity to revisit this old favorite restaurant when a Groupon deal became available. We both used to frequent the restaurant several years ago, but more recently fell in love with Cambodian Thai and Creasian and had not visited Khun-Daeng in years. My first impression of the restaurant, is that they have not done a single thing design, paint or otherwise with the building since they opened probably 7-8 years ago. Everything feels run down and a bit tacky like they just do not care anymore. (You have to love the Goodwill purchase picture of kittens in the men's room) The service felt the same way, like they stopped caring. Their menu was as I remembered, same great sounding dishes, but portions and quality have diminished. I love hot food and can usually handle a lot of spice, but my medium hot order of Rambo had more peppers than chicken with 60% of it ending up in the bin. The value just is not there, we had a $30 groupon and assumed that would cover most of two entrees. Price have jumped a lot and are crazy high compare to Cambodian Thai, a similar but much better restaurant with a friendly staff. We ended up with a $46 bill pre-tip for two entrees and an order of spring rolls. After presenting my $30 Groupon my balance was $16 and the waitress tried to get me to leave to go get cash be cause she told me there was a $25 minimum for Credit cards. I threw a fit and told her to take the card or remove my entree from my bill. If you ever encounter a merchant who tries to give you a minimum credit card order in retail please remind them that that is against the terms of service of all three major credit card companies. Do not waste you money or time here and visit Cambodian Thai or Creasian instead.

Food was fair at best. There spice caliber is sort of confusing. On a scale of 1 to 5 in spice level, go with no spice and add your own. Service was rude till the bill arrived, which is surprising since I was waited on by the owners daughter. The place is cozy but slightly run down. Won't be in a hurry to go back

The worst thai foods i had. Ordered Pa Nang Curry, salty as hell. Pad thai is dry, not enough chicken. Dumplings are good, but a bit pricy. Restaurant smells bad, service isn't anything special. Not ever again!
