ATD Home Inspection

I feel like Jeff did a good job of pointing out what needs to be done immediately vs what to watch out for. I know exactly what to prioritize when I move into my newly purchased home.

extremely informative, gave an explanation of every issue and how hard each solution to said issue could be. Genuinely couldn't ask for more from an inspector.

Due to unsatisfactory phone call with Rob Jude to discuss inspection report 110121RJ, I can not recommend ATD. Report page 1 second to last paragraph, "Please feel free to call if you have any questions regarding any items listed in this report, or even to discuss any item you feel I might have missed." I called Rob to discuss water issues in crawl space that were not reported. As per InterNACHI 3.3 111 B "Basement, Foundation, Crawlspace, and Structure The inspector shall report in need of correction observed indications of active water penetration." I told Rob of the 4 remediation contractors saying that there were several signs of water, that should have been reported by a home inspector, and estimates up to $25,000 dollars to correct. Rob did not care to discuss the miss, and became defensive, saying ,contractors always throw inspectors under the bus, it was dry when I inspected it, and something about contractors being expensive, cheaper to make repairs myself. This was the third inspection ATD had completed for us in 1 year. It takes 1 large miss like this to destroy a budget and more. A promised discussion would have been the least I expected from this company.

I used ATD in the past, and referred the business to friends and acquaintances. Robs reports are detailed and very easy to follow. Any deficiencies are noted through the report, photos taken and then summarized at the end. Overall, I feel that ATD gives you a great insight into your property prior to purchase.
