I have never seen a provider, nor their clinic, go above and beyond like the staff at Axon. Derek Littlejohn has spent countless hours helping me get my expensive medications filled at a very reasonable cost, and quickly. 99% of any issues Ive had with filling my medications have been the pharmacists error. But, Derek takes the time to call them and explain how to do their job correctly, in a respectful manner. He truly cares about his patients and their needs. He listens to every worry, question, comment, and/or concern you may have and takes it all to heart, to help you find the best path. Hes definitely one of those practitioners that only come along once in a lifetime. I am truly thankful God put him in my life. Enough about Derek, lets discuss the office staff. While it might take a minute to get someone on the phone, everyone is very friendly and knowledgeable. Christine has always gone above and beyond to assist in getting my treatments covered by my insurance and continues to fight for the patient every hour of every day. Not only that, but if I have to leave Christine a voicemail, she will respond almost immediately with an email containing the information I requested. It would be a grave injustice to a persons mental health if they were to willingly choose not to visit Axon, and pass on experiencing one of the best practitioner experiences they could ever experience.

Great team and very responsive, even after hours in a crisis.  They definately care about their patient's well being.  Very hard to find Psychiatric help for adolescent OCD/Anxiety/Depression in the Indianapolis area, so am glad we were referred to Axon.

Dr. Kelly Slama-McManus is a wonderful resource - she helps both with thoughtful, medicine management and ADHD coaching for my son who is a teenager. She communicates so well both in person and via email. We have in-person appts and virtual check-ins. The front office staff are also very pleasant, kind and helpful.

I've never left a google review, but if this can help someone else, I thought I would share our experience. I'm completely disappointed in this practice. The research to find a child psychiatrist who takes your specific insurance is exhausting in itself. Let alone trying to find someone you think can actually help your child-it's a stressful, ongoing process. We finally thought we found a match for our daughter and were willing to make a longer drive for a really good psychiatrist. We visited a couple of times and it seemed good, so thought we would continue weekly. A few weeks in. we were 10 minutes late to an appt. due to a traffic accident. Upon arrival, we were told my daughter couldn't be seen due to the provider's late arrival policy. We asked for a shortened time period (since my daughter was already scheduled for the 45 mins). We were told "no" and billed for the late appt. My daughter had been taken out of school for this appt., which was a complete waste of her day mentally and physically. A second time, I needed to reschedule an appt. because of a conflict with our primary care physician. I called 46.5 hours prior to our scheduled appt to change the time. I also offered to provide them with a letter from my PCP since that was the initial reason for my change in appt. I was told there was a 48-hour cancelation policy and we would be charged $100. We paid the invoices and canceled all future appointments. This provider's primary interest monetary. We need someone who is focused on the interest of our daughter. So, here we are again, looking for a new provider.
