    DO NOT buy a refrigerator from Lowe's. DO NOT buy an LG refrigerator. Anybody can sell products that work perfectly - the real test comes when the product falters. I hope you will continue reading, because my hope is that other people don't have to endure what we have gone through. We brought our new LG refrigerator about 6 months ago and we're so excited - I don't like risk so I bought the extended warranty through Lowe's. Then they called to tell us it was back ordered and would take at least 3 weeks to get it. We dealt with it. By the way, this is a refrigerator they list for $4000. I didn't want to spend that much, but the thought of the niceties that must come with the $4000 fridge were enough for me to bite the bullet. When it got installed, it made a buzzing noise all the time. It worked fine we thought, but it was noisy. We dealt with it. Then, 6 weeks ago the buzzing got out of hand and things started to thaw. I called Lowe's. They told me it was under LG warranty so I had to call them. I did. The service tech showed up to fix my washing machine that I bought the same time...I don't understand how they got that wrong. While there he diagnosed it as a bad compressor. That explained the buzzing. They had to come back. We dealt with it. I will shorten the last 6 weeks into this: we have been through 5 service calls and 4 different compressors. I can't take it anymore. LG is insisting it's not dead and can still be fixed. The last call I got from them indicated they are considering my request for a refund, but they will take 5 business days to make that decision. There is no guarantee that it will get replaced. They might decide to replace the compressor again at that point. LG is a company that doesn't care about you. They do not care if you lose all of your food and don't have a place to keep it. They don't care if their product is complete junk. Lowe's is a company that doesn't care about you. At best during this whole debacle, they have been the middle man that hears LG tell me they don't care, and Lowe's relays that message. They refuse to support or help the customer that bought a $4000 fridge from them. If you buy a fridge from Lowe's, good luck. If you have problems, we can share stories about going without a fridge for 2 months. I wish this was exaggerated, but I assure you it is NOT.
