Sterling Construction and Home Remodeling

Quoted $3800 and put $1900 down. Put my fence up without getting proper permits (and did a terrible job). City made him take it down. Even though he couldn't put up the fence the way we agreed, he refused to refund me any of my money. I now have no fence, a ripped up yard, and $1900 less to show for it. It would've been nice if he filled for the permits to see if my fence was gonna be up to code. Stay away from this scammer and hire a professional!

This is Bryan Ruel of Rue lRoofing I have also been a victim of Wayne Hermanson. I forked out $5,500 of my own money on a roof for him, am owed $6,000 in which he collected $11,000 and never paid me a dime. Can*t wait to see you Wayne as I see I"m going to have to take care of this the old fasion way can"t wait to see you buddy!

Where to I begin this review? First off this is the best construction company both myself and family has had the pleasure of dealing with. While most others have tried to get me to buy additional services and products they offer I had to tell them multiple times I was not interested. They found why my house was getting way too cold in the winter and I had no idea it was attic insulation alone. For the sake of name dropping I will not mention the "other guys" but I have never felt more comfortable dealing with Sterling, in fact it was a pleasure. When I had set my initial appointment I was very reluctant due to the bad taste in my mouth but they were more along the lines of consultants than salesmen. Within a week they fixed the issue and now I am no longer wasting my energy in the winter. Thank you Leo and Wayne for your help, will gladly call you to take care of my driveway this summer!

Just finished having my fence installed by Sterling Construction. Throughout the entire process from ordering materials, to scheduling and installation I was kept informed of the progress. From estimator (Ryan) to install crew (Milt and Ron) I was very pleased with both the price and the performance. I will use this company again for future projects. Nancy A. Adams August 19, 2016 I am the customer who wrote this review @ eight weeks ago and at that time I was very happy with this company. Since that review I have had an issue with the installed gate for my fence which would not close properly. (evidently the "ground settled"). I contacted the owner of Sterling Construction (6-18-16)and was told they would send someone out to fix it. Again on 7-18-2016; 7-25-16 AND 8-16-16 I either left messages on their voicemail (which were never returned) or was told they "erased it from the board" and they would send someone out to fix it. WHATEVER!!!!!!!!! Let this serve as notice that I am filing a Better Business Review on this "Company" and it won't be a good one! Advice: Think long and hard before using Sterling Construction of Highland, IN
