    They are the BEST!

I had almost the EXACT same issue as Matt in the post below. I called to see if there was anything that could be done about my nearly new liner that was installed by angies, for a pool that was also installed by angies. They proceeded to tell me that there was nothing they could do except have the pool detective come out... again. I bought a new home less than 2 years ago and it had a new liner put in before purchase. It seems odd that the exact same issue happened to 2 people in the exact same time period when Angies installed new liners. They will make it sound like it is your fault and take no ownership of the issue or blame it on "ground water" that they cannot control. I was sold on doing a liner reset (I opted out of that option) and sounds like they would've ripped me for more money if I chose to do the reset and wouldn't have helped the issue. I am not too thrilled with the overpriced products and continued issues.

Ive been using Angies for several years now and in general have been pleased with them, however I had them replace my liner in 2021 and it has been a terrible experience. Short story: have spent $8300 and have a wrinkled liner that leaks. Some details: Liner installed summer 2021 and noticed leak that winter. Contacted them and was told probably a hole in winter cover with winter pump sucking water out. Replaced winter cover for next year but had same issue. Shallow end started wrinkling after they opened it this year. Have had to spend money twice for a company to look for leaks ($850) and try to fix plus having liner reset ($2300). After liner reset wrinkles came back and pool still leaks. Leaks were found around skimmer plate and around steps - both places where liner supposed to be sealed. I suspect the leak around steps could be why it wrinkled - water going right under steps and under liner. I should have been better about noticing leaks during summer and getting on them then, but pool gets a lot of use with grandkids in and out so wasnt surprised to have to add water. Was told the reset wasnt guaranteed too - still, this has left a bad taste in my mouth.

AP&S has been our pool open/closed for a few years. We have been very pleased with our service. This years closing was unfortunately not the same. Every pool opening/closing had a section designated just for opting in/out of chemicals added to the pool. This season they changed their paperwork without warning. I admit I didnt look at it better, but I felt they used that opportunity to then add an additional $200 for chemicals to my pool. No conversation, just an additional $200 charge. On top of the $50 extra they were charging for my closing. I felt the lack of customer service was evident and left me feeling robbed. I felt taken advantage of. I will be looking for a new company for our pool needs in the future.

One star because there is no option for zero Money hungry - yes. Pool supplies are twice as much as anywhere else. When the no refund, no return policy on the receipt is longer than anything else on the paper, beware. Customer service - no. Young female workers does not equal customer service Honesty and integrity - none Example A: When asked about pricing of liquid chlorine was told that their product is better than others. No, it is all 12.5% hypochlorite. Example B: Then was told, but other places sell it all year around and it degrades. They sell it all year around. Example C: A third employee says, It only has a 30-day shelf life. I then tell her that I am a chemical engineer and it has a shelf life longer than 30 days. She replies, Well, it actually has longer but that is what we tell people. Paul and Angie Lauth are the owners.

Mr. Horgan,We sincerely regret the challenges you've faced with your pool liner replacement and express our gratitude for sharing your valuable feedback.Upon thorough consideration of your concerns, it's important to highlight that the initial inspection conducted by The Pool Detective on June 5th, 2023 did not reveal any inherent issues with the liner itself. However, the complications detected, including a manufacturing seal crack in your skimmer and a leak at the multiport valve on your pool filter, could have potentially impacted the liner over time. These challenges stem from the natural aging and wear and tear of the pool, as outlined in the report. The identified crack in the skimmer's manufacturing seal can permit water to seep behind the liner, resulting in wrinkles and potential damage to recently replaced seals during the liner installation. Subsequently, during the follow-up leak detection on October 7th, 2023, a leak was discovered at the step seal, which had undergone stretching and displacement due to water penetration behind the liner. It's crucial to note that we've previously highlighted the high groundwater levels in your area, emphasizing our recommendation for sump pits to mitigate potential water damage to pools. These issues, we emphasize, are linked to the pool's age rather than the liner installation itself. We empathize with the frustration caused by persistent leaks and wrinkling and aimed to identify and address these concerns effectively. In a gesture of goodwill, we provided you with a $100 store credit, underscoring our commitment to easing any challenges our customers may encounter.Your loyalty throughout the years is immensely valued, and we are unwaveringly committed to making things right to the best of our ability. We appreciate your understanding and the opportunity to work collaboratively to resolve these matters and restore your confidence in our services.Sincerely,Angie's Pool & Spa

We appreciate your loyalty as a customer since 2020 and want to assure you that we are always willing to rectify any issues when given the opportunity. If you would give us a call we would be more than happy to discuss this matter further and work toward a satisfactory resolution.
