Extremely unreliable electric service. If we had the option of changing electric providers we would do so immediately. The power outages and power surges occur frequently. Customer service representatives simply regurgitate word salads that are meant to appease and get us off of the phone. We will be canceling our internet service and switching to another company since that is our only way to show Ninestar our displeasure.

I've returned to edit this review, because, like me unfortunately being let go, it wasn't as accommodating as it could have been. NineStar Connect is a great utility company with great people doing their best, like nearly all of us, and unfortunately, just as all of us do from time to time, they make some honest mistakes. It may simply be correct to say that I requested a reasonable accommodation of a week-long, temporary change in shift, while working for multiple organizations at two separate jobs simultaneously and performing 40-hour shifts (11 + 9 + 11 + 9 ) without rest between the two jobs. (I was also consulting for the premier TaTa Consultancy Services at an exceptional company in Indianapolis which provides an essential medical product, and also worked for the premier consultant group Konica Minolta: All Covered in Columbus, IN as a Senior System Engineer). Yet, unfortunately, after about 6 months of this style of work and good performance, though I did ask more than once for, in my opinion, a much needed and reasonable accommodation, I didn't receive it, and after 6 months of 40-hour shifts in a 3-day period, then one day off to sleep, my body simply shut down unwillingly. Please understand, I'm not complaining, but this may be necessary to understand the situation in full, and why I requested the accommodation of a switch of shift for one week, which would have allowed me to have necessary rest and continue to work for all diligently with the professionalism we each expect. This being said, some policies could use review, in my opinion, but they do attempt to make sure that those working for them are vetted, which is important since their employees may have to access and maintain systems that matter very much to all of us. However, there may be more discernment needed in the hiring process, and a little bit more leniency afforded, especially when someone wants to work, and in responses to requests of reasonable accommodations. I say this in a non-accusatory way out of concern, and with sincere hope it will help NineStar Connect and any whom you employ. Regardless, thank you so much for the opportunity to work for NineStar Connect, and I apologize for when I wasn't at my best. Sincerely, Jon F. D. Turpin

While all the ads are all about "You're the difference, the members is who makes us what we are" they literally don't care about you and are worse than Comcast. You're cattle, to be tagged, marked, and milked for everything you're worth day 1 in every way. Communications are poor (Thanks for the 0 day notice of an electric rate change!) and outdated with being Facebook and mailers, and even then they're usually late somehow. When it works, it's fine no frills Internet. If you just need internet without thinking about it though, other providers offer you way more service for way less cost than the "Premium" offerings that you don't see or have any concept of "why would I pay 3x the cost? It's just Internet" and the management doesn't understand that or have any incentive to win you over besides making base amounts that happily will allow them to survive until retirement.
