Morgan's Outdoor Adventures

Haven't had the chance to actually participate in any events here, but did visit as a sort of recon mission to see what the kids thought. LOADS of kayaks and canoes for rent, space and tables and pavilions for groups, and even 3 little cabins for smaller getaways. I hope our experience will be as great as the place looked, because we definitely got excited to visit and spend some time on the river! (No idea about staff or rates, sorry. We just went to look around.)

I really like Morgans kayaking and canoe. But I would not advise staying in the cabin. I have been on A LOT of camp trips in my life but this was pretty bad. I was so uncomfortable, I slept in my outdoor clothes and kept all of our stuff in the car. Our friends paid for the cabin, so I felt rude leaving. The area rug was ripped to shreds. It definitely gave a vibe of having bugs and the place was kind of stinky. It had AC which was nice, but Id rather have a clean cabin than the AC. The bathrooms had 0 upkeep. The shower head was so rusty, I came out smelling like a penny. There was no point in wearing shower shoes. As there was no drainage, so you were in water up to your ankles. The fire pit was nice and I enjoyed the company of the camp ground cat. Felt secure as the grounds person checked on us and let us know hed be there if we needed anything throughout the night. I wouldnt stay here again if they didnt have an upgrade. Less than $100 is nice, but Id rather sleep in my car.

Our church's Young Men's group had an activity here at Morgan's canoes. They were amazing! Everyone was friendly and they made sure that everything was perfect. We even had a grill out at their lodge where they had a nice covered patio where we were able to seat 90 people. Corn hole and volleyball was also available. We will be back. Follow-up note: We did go back the next year. They were every bit as AMAZING!

Great staff, camp, and beautiful little stretch of river. Been here many times.
