A really excellent supplier of topsoil, sand and gravel. Monica, who schedules the deliveries is very nice and helpful. And the guy who does the deliveries is extremely accommodating and friendly. If you need topsoil, sand or gravel, JCK will charge a fair price for a good product. Highly recommend.

Last Thursday I called JCK to order a 10 yard load of dirt.  I talked to Monica, she was very helpful.  She was even able to squeeze in my delivery on Friday afternoon.  The driver showed up right on time and put the load right where I asked.  The quality of the dirt was fine.  My problem with the order was the amount of dirt delivered.  I even questioned the driver to make sure it was a 10 yard load.  In my estimation it looked more like 5 yards than 10.  Even my neighbor commented as to how short the load looked.  On Saturday I had another business deliver 4 loads of 5 yards each.  Each of his 5 yard loads was a larger pile than the 10 yard JCK load.  On Monday I called Monica to express my dissatisfaction.  She told me that the dirt is actually loaded by weight, not by volume.  After the wettest May on record in Illinois I guess you should expect the dirt to be a bit water logged.  However, I was told I was buying 10 yards of dirt, not 5 yards of dirt and '5 yards' of water. In spit of my concerns Monica made no effort to correct the situation.  A word to the wise, wait for a drought before ordering dirt from JCK.
