Dr. Kohlers Office is exceptional. I recently went in for a routine cleaning and had the pleasure of meeting Jennifer, one of the new dental hygienists. Jennifer was fantastic. My session was probably the best cleaning I have had. Jennifer had a great attitude, had excellent work ethic, was very knowledgeable, kept me informed of each step and its purpose during my session, and even taught me a few new pieces of knowledge to maintain and improve my dental health and hygiene. Additionally, Jennifer took her time performing a thorough assessment and cleaning my teeth. Although this resulted in a longer cleaning than I am used to, I realized I ended up with cleaner teeth. I could feel the difference when she was finished and realized that other offices who perform quicker cleaning sessions are most likely missing things, leaving plaque, and/or tartar, are skipping important assessments, and neglecting to properly educate patients. Jennifer took the time to understand the equipment I use at home to clean my teeth and educate me on how to better use that equipment. This included flossing devices, the water pik, electric toothbrush, the different types and strengths of bristles, and more. I also really appreciated Jennifer communicating with me during the cleaning. She informed me of areas that might need work and the specifics that indicated I needed to augment the way I cleaned. She was able to accurately, assess my gums, recession, dental caries, teeth spacing, salivary gland locations and their impact on plaque and tartar, and more. She was then able to make recommendations to improve any deficits she found in her assessment. Hands-down, this is my new office for my present and future dental check ups and procedures. I highly recommend Dr. Kohler And his staff for anyone looking to maintain and improve their dental health and hygiene

Very poor experience with this dishonest, uncaring, unprofessional and greedy dentist. I would like to say my experience was years ago, but I still think it shows who the person is and what are his moral issues. I share this information now because I got email from the dentistry today and my stomach just turned inside out from the extremely poor memory I got from working with him. I went to him for a molar with big cavity and fallen filling. I needed a new filling before a trip overseas, starting with a wedding in UK. I found him on youtube video showing identical case with him bragging how successful it was. I went to his office. He was cold, arrogant, bragging how good he is and the cutting edge equipment he had. Indeed, there was a microscope/camera attached to the ceiling and a TV streaming your procedure. Fancy, ha! I was completely shocked to see on TV how in 3 minutes he killed my tooth. His turbine was bouncing off of the tooth surface harshly and repeatedly (very unusual) and that made the tooth tissue break and blood to come out of the nerve and canals. He clearly made a bad choice of drill bit coarseness and turbine speed and was not careful and caring. The tooth tissue to the nerve was thin but was there and was intact. In the past I've had identical case with other tooth where the nerve was almost exposed and yet with caring and professional help it healed, and got fully restored, alive. Yet, Craig Kohler, didn't seem to care at all. He quickly started pressing me to proceed with root canal or extraction as the only options and threatened I need to make a quick call because the local anesthetic will stop acting soon (as if he couldn't put another one). I was so shocked and pissed and didn't know how to react and he kept pressing me. No excuses or comfort offered. Just a cold, uncaring attitude and a strive for my wallet, not my health and wellbeing. I told him I don't want him to do my root canal (or extraction!!!) because I don't trust him anymore and I need a solution for 10 days during my trip and wedding to UK and that I will visit my personal dentist there who will take care of the root canal. He offered me a "special" filling that will seal the tooth for the time being and will not get infected, painful or swollen, but it would cost more. I agreed. Several days later, I started feeling pain and was not able to chew (nobody puts filling on a dead tooth). My flight was in 2 days and I was desperate. I called Kohler and he again offered root canal treatment for $2000 or extraction for $500 and later on implant (for thousands of dollars). This was outrageous. I found another dentist, Allan Haussermann, who a good friend of mine (Steve Shoemaker, a director of local YMCA and former pastor) recommended. Allan Haussermann made an x-ray and said - "You only need a 10 day course of penicillin to take care of the infection and swelling while you are on your trip to give you time to get to your dentist overseas to take care of your tooth. AND the penicillin is free!!!!" That is what happened. The antibiotic took care of me, I had an amazing trip and once I got to my dentist overseas, he did a root canal and put a crown. To this day I have this tooth thanks to Allan Haussermann and despite the unprofessional and uncaring service, the cold and greedy Craig Kohler and his cold and rude staff gave me. (I think his daughter was on the front desk at the time). My advice, if you notice some of the symptoms I shared - errors, lack of logic, lack of care, greediness, etc. - don't go there anymore. Find a better person and dentist!!! UPDATE: Yet another proof of dishonesty by Craig Kohler, claiming in his response that he gave me the penicillin. No, the elegant and free resolution with penicillin was prescribed by Allan Haussermann - a great person and caring dentist.

Perfection. I thank God everyday for Dr. Kohler and his excellent team. My brother told me my headaches sounded like TMJ. My headaches were affecting my job performance and personal life for the past two years. Dr.Kohler belongs to the American Equilibration Society, which is how I found him. He went over my mouth tooth by tooth this spring. Dr. Kohler has the patience of a saint. He calibrated some of my teeth and I have a custom made night guard. I never realized I was grinding my teeth at night. This fall I had an added bonus when he dug a chunk of old cement out of my gums left by the previous dentist. Who by the way kept telling me nothing was wrong with my bite. Now my jaw pain is almost completely gone. There are times when I have tears of joy in my eyes. I spent the last two years miserable and spending lots of money trying to get rid of my headaches. But now I can move on and enjoy my life. PS everyone there is a sincerely nice person!
