Server assistants like to take plates premature.....wood-fired pizza is actually oven baked and very soggy...not crisp as it should be. Be sure to verify that the server understands your requests. The rigatoni entree is the Americanized Italian version of a shepards pie. Very clean restaurant though its only been open for a few months. Might attempt the restaurant again if I'm hungry enough or if my car happens to break down in front. They recommend reservations, but they really aren't necessary....instead, dine at Olive garden.

The place is very cozy. I don't recommend the seating right by the entrance (too much traffic and table is too small). The food is great. I ordered the filet mignon with mushrooms (comes with spinach but one can ask for replacement). The service was courteous, fast and very attentive. I highly recommend it.

I am a traveling art broker with one of the worlds leading art advisory companies. Not long ago, after attend the City of Waukegan's ArtWalk, one of the art gallaries suggested I visit Fiamico Ristorante for dinner. My partner and I were greeted by the hostess who introduce herself as Jody. We were seated near the fireplace while a man played standards on the baby grand piano. I found the lighting to be too dark and was immediately alarmed by the faint smell of rotten fish. It took quite a while for the server to greet us but the music made the wait tolerable. He brought us water and there were bits of paper napkin in the ice. As I am not a confrontational person, I did not complain. We both ordered cosmopolitans and the server spilled half the drinks before they arrived at our table. We ordered the polpette napoletani and bruchetta toscana, and the waiter had to look at our menus. The wait would have been insufferable if not for the music. When our appetizers finally arrived the dishes were cold, the meatballs were undercooked and the bruchetta was soggy. Tasteless to say the least. We decided to forgo the appetizers and order the main course. Again the server was no where to be seen. When he finally came back to the table he stunk of cigarettes, I doubt he even washed his hands. By this time we figured it would be great for story telling just to see how the evening would end up. I ordered the veal milanese and my partner ordered the fillet mignon. As expected, the food took forever to arrive and the server forgot our salads. I didn't even eat bother to eat my veal and my partners fillet was over cooked. I immediately asked for our check. the waiter was kind enough to wrap up our food to-go. On the way out the door we deposited the doggy bag into the trash. I would not have given my experience a second thought, except for the explosive diarrhea I had the next day. Most likely from the single bite of meatball and the glass of water. After telling this story to another one of my constitutes in the art field, he informed me of Jody Meyer, the hostess. I was quite shocked to hear the story of how Ms. Meyer an her husband Mr. Deleo defrauded art collectors out of millions of dollars. I think anyone who would chose to dine in this establishment should know what kind of person they are giving their money to. There is an article in Forbes that details exactly how Ms. Meyer and Mr. Deleo stole from the very people I work for.

Me and my boyfriend went here yesterday for dinner and ended up seeing nothing on the menu we liked so we decided to pay for our drinks and find another place to eat. Our total was 6.55, I looked at my bank account this morning and found out they decided to charge my card 56.55!!! I then called the manager who said he would look into it, I had yet to receive a phone call 3 hours later so I call back and he says "well it was a miss read, you can come by and get your 50 dollars" I told him that I didnt have time to stop by and that if he could return it to my card that would be awesome, he then told me "If I can figure out how"... YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME!!! The waiter last night was sweet but the manager is a joke and has 0 customer service skills! I waitressed for a while and I know how to refund money onto a card, never have a seen a MANAGER of a resturant that was unable to do such a simple task. - As far as the food we went there a few months back and it was ok at best but I will not be returning.
