The Full Slab

Used a Groupon that gave us a huge amount of food which was very good. Good value.

Overall this place was ok to say the least. Being that it was called the full slab I thought I was gonna get some spectacular ribs but they weren't. Had a good variety of sauces, beans and fries were good as well. It was not what I expected, it was more of a sports bar scene which even if I was going to one I would not go here. But for the older folk ~30yrs I would recommend.

Our party had ribs, brisket, and catfish. Everything was very tasty and the portions were large enough that everyone took a box home. The sides had an interesting twist on the typical sides you would expect. Everyone thought the sides were fantastic. When we arrived, although there was a person there to greet us, she was on the phone and we were ignored until our server Ashley seated us. During the interim from when we ordered until we received our meal, two employees left the restaurant and our server to wait tables, greet customers and tend bar. Fortunately for us, Ashley was able to keep it together. I think the management should consider either more staffing or a better caliber of staff. I would certainly consider eating at the Full Slab again, but it seems that bad service is a running theme. Our experience, while not terrible, certainly had plenty of room for improvement.

I recently moved to Illinois and I got to say this place rocks. The food is inexpensive and yet still tasty and presentable. Weekly drink and food specials make it a bargain to dine and chill out with a group of friends. Will recommend to anyone looking to have a great time at low cost.
