Lara is the calm and support needed throughout pregnancy, birth, and postpartum care. I had a long labor which ended up with a change in birth plan and she didn't leave our side. She's the most wonderful, caring, supportive doula and I truly believe she will make your journey even more special. She snuck in some pictures that will be emotional to look back on and treasured forever. I'm already looking forward to her care with my future babies. I highly recommended Lara and having her be a part of your baby's birth story!

I had a great experience with both Lara and Maja as our doulas for our first child! As a holistic practitioner myself, it was important to me to find someone who aligned with my values and practices. I had my baby in April 2022 and Maja was my doula. We booked Holistic Family Doulas so far in advance and I had no idea what to expect since this was my first full term baby. I could not have been more happy and trusting with Lara and Maja throughout my whole pregnancy journey. My husband and I took Laras birthing class which was so helpful when it came time to labor- the positions and what to expect.
I went into labor on my due date and Maja gave me a playlist to listen to that helped me through the waves. I still listen to it from time to time! She kept me focused on my breath while changing positions at the perfect time. It was late into the night and I hadnt eaten in over 8 hours- Maja fed me and kept me nourished and strong enough to push. But when it came time to actually push, I was exhausted and had trouble focusing. Despite being out of sorts and- what I like to call- in a higher state of consciousness, Maja gave me a quick pep talk to focus my breath on pushing. Within 10 minutes, my baby was here! Had it not been for her, I wouldve either given up/ran out of energy or kept breathing down without progress. She was truly magic for my birth and I am so thankful to have had her there for us. I also purchased Laras tea during my third trimester and she even dropped off some for me a few days after I had my daughter, it was such a sweet gesture!
She also took photos so we didnt have to worry about it! They werent the most flattering of me, but theyre for my eyes only and I still look at them six months later and get emotional. Im so grateful for her and those keepsakes.

Lara is absolutely amazing. During a less than ideal birth, battling preeclampsia and a child with a huge head, she pushed me and encouraged me so I could have a vaginal birth even though the doctor thought I would end up with a c section. I also hired her for postpartum services and she helped physically, mentally, and emotionally heal. I really just needed someone to talk to you and to let me be a normal human for a bit as I adjusted to mother hood. She always asked what she could help me with wether that was laundry, light cleaning, fixing me food, and providing me with self care like a yoni steam and a healing bath. When all I wanted was to have someone hold the nap so I could fold laundry or take a nap. She helped me feel like a human and a mom which are both things that women can really struggle with after delivery. I am looking forward to the day when we can use her services again.
