I recently read an article about your business that I found very much appalling. One of your employees handed a nice young woman a hand written note asking her to cover up, even though she was appropriately dressed in my and many others' opinion. I'm not sure why your employee felt it was ok to demean this woman and make her feel ashamed for how she looked, but because of this situation I will never eat at your restaurant, and I will be sure to let everyone know how I feel about this. Even though I am only one customer, please remember that word of mouth is a huge part of a company's marketing, and it travels like wild fire.

Seldom do I take the time to write a review of a local business, but Denali's Pizza in Rockford deserves credit where credit is due. I walked in to their business the day that they opened over a year and a half ago. From day one they insisted on selling only the best cheeses, best meats and the very best high protein flour that makes their very unique crust in their pizza, calzones and garlic knots. (The best garlic knots in town btw) Here they are 19 months later and they still demand only the best ingredients. The "Dad" once told me "I am not here to sell a cheap pizza, I'm here to make the very best pizza" and that they do. It's like being in the mood for beef. Do you want a cheap hamburger or do you want a nice steak, they are both beef right?... so if you want a cheap pizza, go order a five dollar fast food pizza. If you want outstanding pizza, order Denali's So, as for my review, here is where I stand. Italian Beef Sandwich... The absolute best in Rockford! (and yes, I've tried just about every Italian beef in town) The Pizza, here is something kinda interesting. Their signature pizzas are more of a thick crust pizza which was not my favorite style of pizza (although they are fantastic) but to my total delight they went and created a thin crust and a Chicago Style Pizza...my two personal favorites! Now the interesting part is Dave Coke, the "dad" has been making his signature style pizzas for over 25 years for friends and family... but to please the masses, they took the same great ingredients changed things up a bit in the sauces and created one of the best thin crust and deep dish pizzas that I have ever had. Just like that, they created two new styles of pizza that would go up against any other pizza around AND WIN! From their pasta dishes to their Italian sausage sandwich, pizza and Italian beef, I have yet to find one thing here that was not absolutely outstanding! While they do not pump out 50 fast food type of pizzas an hour, they do produce a fantastic pizza made in a very clean kitchen that I can truly promise you is well worth the short wait. People stop in to get a pizza to go and once they walk in, often they change their minds and sit down in the cozy restaurant and listen to some relaxing "oldies but goodies" music. Denaili's Pizza is more than just great food, Denali's is an experience my friends... No, I am not associated with this restaurant, I am a business owner that was fortunate to find this great little mom and pop pizza place that serves outstanding food by the friendliest people that care about the product that they sell. I give them 5 stars across the board!
