I really hate to post negative reviews anywhere but I need to share my experience because I saw that this place had such good reviews and therefore trusted going here. I went in for a 2-inch trim—no layers, same length all around. Nothing different from my current haircut except the length. After she did the main part of the cut and dried my hair, she said she was just going to “thin the back out a bit.” I’ve never had thinning shears used on my hair before (my hair is not super thick) so I didn’t really know what that entailed but I trusted her process because I had already clearly communicated what I wanted (again, just went in for a trim—nothing more) She proceeded to use the shears all over my head and really focused on the back. Way more than a “bit.” One photo is my hair before; thick, shiny, and healthy. The other is my hair one day after the cut— thin, wispy, and broken. I tried for an hour to style it this morning just to make it look presentable. It feels like my hair is twice as thin as it used to be. I’m absolutely devastated and currently deciding between wearing a wig and getting a pixie cut.
