Tri Star Landscape & Fencing

Had them install a chain link fence at our business and job was never finished. It was one excuse after the next. Puts up a fancy website but dont let that fool you. Doesnt return phone calls, emails, and texts promptly. Shows up with a dog and asked us, the customer, to help unload material. Uses Vet status to advertise but is very unprofessional. Ordered permit before we even accepted job which made us feel obligated to use him. Says one thing does another. Found him through Angi list and they have since suspended him. Stay away.

Mike and Eric installed a wood fence at the back of our property and did a great job. Showed up on time and completed the same day. Excellent job I will definitely use them for future jobs.

Want to rate this company a negative 10!!!  Unresponsive, seriously horrible workmanship.  Mike started out with the highest bid for the fence; we wanted to use him since he says he is a Vet and we support our Vets, and he was the only company that didn't tell us we had to cut down trees before installing a new fence.  He came down in price, and added digging out a bush, (which he only cut down but did not dig it out).     The village changed their privacy fence ordinance, so that really messed us us.  We were told by Mike that the spacing inbetween the pickets on the shadowbox fence on the street side of our yard would be 3/4 inch; NOT, they are 1.5 inches, so we basically have no privacy at all on the street side .  He insisted the gaps in that section that he was currently installing  were 3/4 and that is what the village required.  Again, NOT.   I stood infront of the fence with him and told him I could see right through to my neighbor's yard, of which he insisted I could not.   The rest of the 3 sides of the picket fence are uneven, crooked posts, rails not spaced properly, bad materials used.  Why did I pay him?  Cause I wanted him out of my sight after I asked him to fix the shadow box fence side and they stopped working cause they thought I would not pay them.  I had no choice to pay him; I have dogs and needed my fence finished!   I should have known there was a problem when he took our deposit and wouldn't return calls.  The install was in July, 2022; it is almost November.  I have called, texted and emailed easily 100 times and have gotten no response.   I would have been better off highering a kids down the street to install this fence!
