Today was my first appointment and from start to finish I was welcomed and had exceptional care. From the front desk staff, to their nurse Paulette, to Dr. David Steinwedel. Dr. Steinwedel was professional, informative, and he took time to answer my questions. I look forward to continuing to work with them for my dental needs.

The way my visit went, you would have thought it was a joke. I called Steinwedel for a second opinion, after my current dentist had suggested some rather extensive restorations. I specifically explained that my dental insurance benefit was only $1000 and I was looking for the best way to prioritize my dental care and that $1000 in this calendar year, and look at saving up for treatment and extending some into next year. The young lady at the front desk was nice and understood my request. But Dr. Steinwedel missed the boat. He spent far too long chairside, hung up on TMJ issues and talking about his study club, which wasn't part of my chief complaint to begin with. In fact, his only real recommendation was to get an MRI - almost the most expensive test one can have - and offered no ideas of how to fix the problem once the MRI was complete! I left shaking my head and I was going to let all of this go until I just received mail from my insurance company. I explicitly asked Steinwedel not to bill my insurance for the exam, and I paid out of pocket, in full, that day at the visit. This was February 2023. I am just now getting a refund check in the mail, 5 months later, from the insurance company because they billed them anyway - without my permission. So now I've lost an opportunity for an exam elsewhere because of the yearly limits of our insurance. I would honestly be afraid to let that office perform any treatment on me, given how poorly this initial experience went.

Caring, gentle, kind and amazing. Ive been a patient for over 40 years. Dr. Steinwedel and his staff will take excellent care of your teeth. They go above and beyond.
