I have been having my periods for two months now. I called the office to make an appointment as a new patient. Because of the hormones, my anxiety has been extra high. I came into the office the first time and panicked reached the front desk panicked and left. Made another appointment  checked my vitals was in the patient room and felt claustrophobic. My anxiety overwhelmed me and left. I felt really bad and contacted the doctors' nurse and apologized and told her my hormones were being too much on me. And if I can try again coming in. She gave me the office manager and the office manager told me we can no longer see you again cause you wasted an hour of the doctor's time and it wasn't fair to the doctor. What about me as a patient I am asking you to understand my condition and it isn't in my control at times. Instead of helping , trying to work it out, being compassionate just really resonates to show how truly caring this staff is. That's not managing it's just getting rid of the patient, instead of helping the patient, gaining trust and solving the problem which I came in for help. For the office manager that was NOT nice, rude and sometimes we need a little bit of empathy.  That's not what being a office manager is about. Manage and help the patient not get rid of them. Its not like I didn't show up, I came in but it's overwhelming . It's a struggle I am working on and the lack of remorse is just sad. Will not recommend for me family or friends.

I would provide zero stars if I could. This is not because of the small stuff like long wait time for appointments or any petty reasons. I was prescribed Zofran for nausea and vomiting during my first pregnancy. All the doctors at The practice saw me and were ok with this. I trusted them. My child was born with a cleft palate. My baby participated in a genetic study after birth and no genetic anomalies were discovered. We have no family history of any genetic or physical disorders on both sides. I was told this just happens sometimes. I trusted them. Here I am in my second pregnancy and again I was prescribed Zofran. I fainted face flat into the cement and when I called the doctor on call, I was told to stop taking my vitamins and take Zofran around the clock. I listened and for weeks felt weak, developed migraines and had some suppression of vomiting for short bursts of time with the drug. This time I accidentally mentioned this to a family friend in the medical field and she immediately got concerned and told me to research the drug. Sure enough it causes cleft palate among much worse birth defects. I stopped taking it immediately! It is not FDA approved and to my horror there are many lawsuits against the company that makes this drug. It is only approved for use in chemo patients. Also, my symptoms of weakness and dizziness, fainting and constipation were also in line with zofran side effects. I reported these symptoms to the doctors and nobody told me it can be caused by this medication. Nobody thought to tell me about the birth defects even though they knew my first child was born with a cleft palate. Why would they prescribe this drug when it isnt safe? Why not warn me of the risk. Lack of knowledge? Money from the pharmaceutical company? Ignorance? I dont know... but none of those are an excuse. I am praying that my second baby will be okay. I will be getting tests done, even though some things may only be detected at birth. Protect yourself and your baby, find doctors who are knowledgeable and caring, who respect the vow they take when they enter their profession.
