One of three drivers was driving around with construction lights on behind me, moved into an onramp lane to pass me and another car, was unable to get back over, drove down the shoulder a bit before cutting back in front of that car, all in Chicago traffic going no where....... Absolutely crazy

A home owner’s nightmare is the only accurate way to describe how this company does business. The only occurrence of punctuality came the first week when money was to be collected. I created several checkpoints/due dates for completion in the contract they provided so there would be some form of accountability (the contract they drew up only favored paying them heavily in the front with no commitment dates for completion. The first 2 weeks of the project they were on site just enough to keep me from not paying the next installment. The disaster of a mess that was left every day was ridiculous. As soon as I was in for 2/3 of the money, they stopped answering their phones and showing up for work. Making excuses when their workers were not on site and claimed they weren’t sure why. After about a week of this I had come to the conclusion that I had been ripped off. I sent an email (because they don't respond to calls or text) informing them they were fired, and I would rather part with my money than deal with this lack of communication and professionalism.

McGill and McGill handled all my emergencies with only one quick phone call. Kenneth was polite and explained everything to me in detail on what they were going to do and how much it was going to cost. Kenneth did everything for me from fixing a toilets to helping build out a complete All-Star Cheerleading gym from ground up including a 25,000 sq. foot warehouse space from the electrical, painting, flooring to building a tumbling deck. The prices are great and the work is amazing!

I wish there were ZERO stars. His contract was such scratch I refused to sign. Was reassured all we discussed would be covered and not to worry. This was a personal "referral" from my daughter's gym. After changing prices and the threats of "guys being pulled" if I didn't pay his prices and "credits" being issued at the end, this "licensed contractor" walked out. This was AFTER the bullying games of guys not showing bc he wasn't paid enough or my paying for "upgrades" I never approved or were even discussed. Paid about 60k and he had a total of about 20k in it with labor and materials. Refused to purchase materials, constantly increased pricing and with my home torn up, I felt scammed and trapped. He took all my money and left. Said I "refused to let him in" but that wasn't even close to what was said. Prepaid him, against my better judgment, but never dreamed I'd be scammed like this. Buyers beware. I am out thousands and no materials and a house half done. Check references. I'd b happy to offer my personal experience even further. Not trustworthy and even worse, used Romex in my home. Which is out of code! Had to pay again to have it all removed. When he walked out I had two electricians in my home and found he exposed us to a potentially fatal fire. Proceed with caution. At best. As a single parent, this was my first home in 7 years and I'm left with a huge disaster and forced to take this into court. Not trustworthy, was never on the job and ended up being paid almost 100% of the job and I have 50% to show, at best.
