I miss this place. This is where I bought most of my computer equipment. Besides Best Buy. It is now a clothing store. Fry's in Downers Grove is the next electronic shop I would like to visit. It is about a half an hour trip Northwest from Orland Park.

Im glad this store is on its way out. I purchased all my cds here for years and they always carriers verbatim, one of the cd brands that i trust the most. I went to purchase them a few months back and they had cheap color research brands. Being that I needed cds I decided to get them. Biggest mistake. The cds are poor quality and i ended up returning them after trying unsuccessfully 2 times burning them. They were horrible. I tried to return them and the employee was absolutely ignorant. I burned my company related sensative information on the 2 cds and i was not going to return them to the store. I would be stupid to do so. And i told the employee this. He refused to return the cds saying I had to return the other 2 as well. I told him that's kind of ridiculous and his responce was in a rude tone "No its not". I felt insulted by this poor excuse of an employee and I'm glad they are closing because these are the reasons why. Tiger Direct use to be a good store. But i am very irritated with them. The customer service has greatly been degraded. The supervisors are rude and other than the techs that repair PCs, not one employee knows anything about technology. I see employees working here that should be working at hot topic and beauty parlors. Under qualified and no knowledge about computers other than hard drives mp3 players and TV. Don't expect much of anyone to know anything. I been going here for over 8 years and spent 1000 's of dollars between getting TVs building my own Pc, upgrade equipment so on. Over the years it seems the store started carrying less quality and more quantity. I'll take the 40 min ride to Frys and buy my hardware. I'll never step foot in another tiger. I may have lucked out as they are closing stores.

Something has happened there in the last 2 years which has made these guys AWFUL! I have bought loads of computer supplies from them over the years and they used to be half decent. Now they are just plain awful. My last shopping experience with them (which will also be my final) was purchasing a barebones kit. It was "in stock". I paid for 2 day delivery to make sure i received it in plenty of time. First, they sent the components one by one and all after the date in which they were supposed to ship. Second, a week after the order was placed the motherboard was still not shipped. Since it's a computer kit, its kind of hard to do anything without the motherboard. Tigerdirect is blaming their supplier. Don't buy from them. My last 2 experiences have been awful.
