Only family and friends have rated this place highly. (Techno world is her husband!!!) This place has horrible return policy, very rude owner!! The owner of both trendy toys and techno world make their own return rules up depending on who you are, nothing is written on the receipts, it's all guess work! Toys are all over priced! Don't waste your time!

Went here today for some holiday presents and the owner could not have been nicer.  Great selection of toys and bought my daughter the cutest tie-dye emoji pillow.  Also, she goes above and beyond with the gift wrapping, which is much appreciated.

This place is a joke. We recently received two of the same stuffed animal for our daughter's birthday, both of which were bought from Trendy Toys. We brought one back with the receipt seeking a refund or store credit. We were told that their policy does not allow for the exchange or return of plush animals. I tried to plead our case since these were duplicate gifts and the item being returned was in pristine, sellable condition, but the woman with the accent was completely inflexible. Although this policy is printed on the receipt, it is absolutely ridiculous and does not make sense in a world where all other retailers gladly accept returns of stuffed animals. There is absolutely no reason to shop at this incredibly overpriced store, especially given the poor customer service. This is one of those situations where I wouldn't shed a tear if the big-box retailers put this particular local store out of business.

This is a certain type of toy store but this might be a more helpful review if I tell you what it is not.  It is not a large chain with all the latest and most popular toys.  It is more a mom and pop shop.  It is not an "educational" toy store with the latest new age and/or neuroscience inspired concept toy meant to stimulate your child's mind (usually with a high proportion of board games, puzzle based toys and toys where the child's creative and constructive urges are tickled.  It is not one of those super weird toy stores with a selection heavy on the ancient toys, novelty items, costumes and magic (possibly with a curtained off area displaying sex toys and/or pornography).  It is not a toy store where you go to look for a specific item.  Instead it is a store with an eclectic (or random in modern parlance) selection of toys that you walk out of with something you had not known existed but that just might be the child's favorite gift or the gift greeted with a grimace that gets chucked into the dark oubliette of a closet or under the bed, never to be heard of or spoken of again.  It's a store where the merchandise is squeezed into the space making it feel like you are discovering hidden treasures as you dig the toys out from the crowded shelves.  Not as crammed as the best stores of this type ("the hidden gem toy stores") but still gives one a bit of  that feeling.  It's a store that displays the personality of the person who chooses their inventory.  I think it is a great store.  The people were very nice though I didn't need much help so I didn't interact with them much.  I have observed three different women working there in my two visits.  Both times I thought to myself, "These people feel (or this person feels) like good people.  I want to give them and their store my money."  But that was just my personal feeling (I am happily married and crazy in love with my wife.  So much so that I can honestly say my impression of the people had nothing to do with any chemistry or physical attraction between the sexes or anything like that).  I do want to support stores like this with a bit of personality.  I shudder to imagine a world with only chain stores and big box stores.  I also happened to strike gold here with xmas presents for my twins from this store which, (rightly or wrongly) also raises my rating of the shop.  I hope you have as much luck at Trendy Toys as I had in putting smiles on my children's faces.  That's the really measure though right?
