Katy's Dumpling House

Firstly, in response to some other reviews...don't get chinese food if you want gluten free, secondly, don't go here if you value customer service. The staff does not know english very well or at least they pretend they don't, but none of that really matters because this is some of the best chinese/asian food I've ever had. I will continue to go here because the food is so good.

Bad customers service. I went there with my family after we got over food they even stop by to see if needed anything else not even water. I know why all of them including cook was eating food so they were busy with them.

The dumplings are very good. Love the taste of the pork and fennel dumplings. The wonton soup is great for a cold and the veggie fryed pan cake is perfect for my vegan child. Love, Love, love.

We had lunch at the Naperivlle location on 11/05/13. As we wait for our meal I noticed a waitress with beautiful long hair dragging through the food she place in front of the customers. I said to my wife, " I hope that is not our waitress. Sure enough it was! She brought our soup and appetizers and as she set them in front of us, her hair bathed our food. I looked closer as she set them down and dried food was on the tips of her hair. I got up and went to the register and waited as the owner ignored me, while he was on a personal phone call, that was on speaker phone, while he was ringing up another customer. When he finished, he said may I help you. I quietly asked him, could he please ask of waitress if she will pull her hair back, before she delivers our food to our table, her hair is dragging the plates. He says to me in broken English, "we have no ladies delivering food. I said, our waitress! This went on for far longer than I wanted it to and I just got frustrated and louder and embarrassed. I went back to my table and she went to him and he whispered something and she pulled her hair back. She avoided our table and another waitress finished with us. The general chicken was fatty and gristled! I went to the van and my wife paid! She came to the car and said that he apologized and had told her earlier to pull her hair up before work, it was her first day! Well, all i can say is that it STARTS with MANAGEMENT!
