I came to the Midnapore Salon on Thanksgiving weekend. My first time at this location. The original woman i booked with was not available and they placed me with a different stylist. Salon was super clean, very very friendly staff, but extremely busy that day. I paid about $175.00 roughly for my hair to be only colored a medium brown from a light brown/blonde Ombre. The color did not last at all and I ended up with extremely dark roots and basically blonde ends. She also did not know how to style my hair, when I asked for loose curls she "flat ironed" my hair and tried to use the flat iron to put "curls' in the ends, which looked ridiculous and insanely frizzy. Now I usually do not say anything but once she was done, I said I was not happy with the style at all and just wanted to leave. She made me sit in her chair while she rushed and put "curls" in my hair with a large curling iron, which would have worked had she made an actual effort. But it looked horrible, I ended up putting my hair in a messy bun as soon as I walked out of the salon. I had to flat iron it myself once I got home and at that time was able to tell my hair was now 2 different colors of brown. sadly it took only 2 washes of my hair for the majority of the color to fade off and wash down the drain. I would absolutely go back to the salon, but with a different stylist. I do not like the fact i paid almost $200.00 and ended up 2 weeks later (after hoping the roots would fade), to color my own hair again completely a darker shade just to cover the massive mess i ended up with. I wish i was informed that the ends would not darken as much, as I was open to having a "fill" done on my hair to ensure that my whole head of hair stayed one complete color. but this was never mentioned to me at all during the 2-3 hour process of me being there.

I tried this salon today after going to another one twice before-Recently moved here from CA. I loved this salon!!! The owner is so sweet and the girl who cut my hair today, Christa, was fantastic. They were able to make room to accommodate me with short notice and are a top notch, high quality salon. I highly recommend...they are also kid friendly if you have to bring a little one along sometime. I'll definitely be back.

Always a pleasure getting my hair done by Jeannie! She does a great job and she's fun to chat with. Also, at times when she's busy and needs help from her co-workers to start my color, they always do a great job too. Kristy did my color yesterday and I felt confident in her hands. Great job ladies!
