Jake's is a great pizza place. The quality of food is reliable, and so is the service. The building itself needs a little work, but with new owners the business could soar.

Time to call it a day. This place is way past its prime and waiting to die. We went in June 2011 and it looked like 1975 inside, except a few beat up and broken tables that are 1983 vintage. The dishes and glasses were visibly dirty. The whole place has a dirty and unkempt feel about it. I always worry when the customer areas of a restaurant are dirty, just how bad the kitchen is. Plus the whole place is just depressing as can be. The pizza was about on par with most frozen. My wife had the baked mostaccoli, basic Ragu sauce over Prince noodles. None of us actually ate much. We had a lot of leftovers that we had no interest in taking home, both for quality and cleanliness concerns. The only positive point is that I have never fed my family out as cheaply.
