Sakura Japanese Restaurant

Not my first time here, but it has been a few years! Restaurant is super clean, staff friendly. We were seated right away, went about 5:30 on a Monday it was pretty empty! We started with the golden shrimp appetizer. It was delicious, it definitely could have had a few more shrimp in it for the amount of sauce on the plate! I think there were 6 small shrimp under the sauce. We did one piece of Unagi sushi, it was perfect! We tried 4 of the special rolls. All of them were delicious! All of the sauces were rich and the spicy was spicy without being overkill. The best partthey did not get carried away with the rice. Each roll has rice, but was minimal compared to the other ingredients allowing the true flavors to shine through! They have their own parking lot so parking is easy and plentiful. Bathrooms were clean. Restaurant was clean.

I order Sakura lunch once a month and definitely enjoy the sushi. I get the sashimi sampler and 3 rolls. The McHenry roll is a hidden gem so be sure to give it a try. And the Kung Poa chicken certainly deserves special mention.
