3 years ago my hot water heater needed to be replaced. I wanted a local company so I reached out on Facebook to get a recommendation and Garrelts and son were recommended. They were the same price as Home Depot. All seemed to be fine with the heater except there was an odor that came from it. I called and the owner called me back a week later and stated its the model and the smell should go away. 3 years later the smell never did and the water heater broke. Called them back out and they said i need a new one, (heater was under warranty) not the labor. After paying 1300.00 3 years prior and now another 700.00 for labor. I did. His son installed the new one again, with a college student. They were horsing around in my driveway for an hour before coming back in to charge me. A month later, one of the pipes was leaking and spraying water every where, called them to come back. Requested not the owners sons, she still sent him any how. He came to inspect the leak, turned the water back on and said its not leaking nothing for him to do. He leaves to make a call after I insisted they need to change the pipe. Comes back and says he can't. I called the owner, he of course never answered. The son went to his truck again and came back to my door 10 minutes later to say he can change it. Lesson learned here, to read online reviews and not to trust face book market place for a recommendation as this has been a very expensive mistake. DO NOT USE this company, they do not stand behind their work.

They are AWFUL. NO stars. SO overpriced and does not appreciate loyal customers. I would NEVER recommend them. They should have a negative 0 star.

Worst service ever! Do not use! They get your credit card and charge ridiculous amount for being in my house for less than 5 minutes. Quoting me $2k for a job my husband was able to do himself for less than $100. They charged me $125 for that 5 minutes when it was just a condensation problem on my pipes. The guy even said " there is nothing wrong and nothing I can really do". ------- Edited to add: Just had another plumber in and not only did this company over charge us to put in our new water heater two years ago but they also installed one that is not vented correctly for our house. So basically we need a new water heater now two years later and we could have had carbon monoxide poisoning from the exhaust of the one they installed.

I had my water softener replaced last week, along with installation of a silent check valve. Jeff was fast, efficient and very knowledgeable, all at a reasonable price.
