I decided to try shamrock cleaners a couple months ago due to another drycleaner in McHenry ruining one of my French cuff work/dress shirts. This is went fine for a month until one of my suits I recently picked up had been altered. Upon inspection I noticed a button missing on my right cuff suit jacket where there was supposed to be 4 buttons in a line now only had 3 while the left still had the full 4 buttons. I then looked on the inside of my suit jacket and saw a really bad hem job with loose threading everywhere. This place hemed my suit jacket sleeves up an inch on both sleeves! When I tried to put the suit jacket on it looked a size too small. Main Street in McHenry does all my tailoring of my suits. This suit in question coincidentally was all sized and fitted by Main Street Taylor about 6 months previous. So I took my suit jacket back to Shamrock Cleaners for an explanation and was completely shocked they tried to say they didn't do the alterations that it must have been someone else. Are you kidding, I literally picked my suits up the day before! But that's not even the best part. The best part was when Shamrock cleaners told me they don't do any sewing or alterations and then in the same breath offered to see another button on! Are you kidding me! They don't do alterations but are offering me an alterations in the same damn breath! After that I lost it. I can only deal with stupid people so much and this place takes the cake for stupidity and plain ignorance. If you want your clothes ruined then by all means use this place, if not then stay as far away as possible. I think anywhere would be better than this place. If you screws up own up to it. Mistakes happen and we can rectify the situation, nobody's perfect. However, trying to hide, cover up, and outright lie about your mistake, well that makes you scum in my book. Take your dry cleaning needs elsewhere. You have been warned!
