image I stayed here for a couple weeks for work. One evening I returned from work only to be told that I would have to leave the hotel because they were notified that the hotel would be getting a total remodel in a week. I went and found another room, moved all my stuff only to find out weeks later that they never had a remodel done. They are liars, so do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else!

image Positives:
-location
-outside and the lobby were clean and pretty
-no issues with room keys or door locks
-no bedbugs or signs of bedbugs in our room
Negatives:
-computers were down when we went to check in
-carpets were incredibly stained
-multiple rooms were marked for demo next to ours
-overhead light in the room didn't work
-furniture was extremely dirty
-beds had weird fitted sheets without Elastic, which popped off with any movement in the bed, exposing incredibly stained mattresses constantly. We all woke up wrapped in the fitted sheets
-wall paper was peeling off the walls
-only one bar of soap which had to be shared between the shower and sink
-the provided shampoo and conditioner were only about half full, which made me concerned that they were reused from guest to guest
-hot water didn't work without having to request it from management. I had to run the water for 30+ minutes after that to even get it close to warm. This made my room incredibly humid even with the shower fan running
-touching any of the shower fixtures wobbled all of them in the wall, which was sketchy. The knob felt like it was going to fall off.
-breakfast was advertised but both days the door was locked with no explanation. When asked, management said they were not offering it and did not offer any outside food like some of these reviews have mentioned
-we were the only ones there the first night which was concerning
-under the beds were DISGUSTING (think under a couch in a home that has lots of kids) and there was trash under one of the beds.
-curtains had holes in them
-wifi was spotty at best
I've stayed in hotels half this price that weren't nearly this gross.

image I travel over 150 days a year for my job and stay exclusively in Wyndham properties, so I review each one. The parking lot was clean and well lit on arrival. Check in went smoothly; however, my request for a handicapped was ignored. My room, a first floor king, was clean, with a comfortable bed/ pillows, but the fixtures were older, and the desk was rickety, the desk chair had seen better days also. Room access is via an interior door. WiFi speed was fast, 93.25 megs down, 24.0 up via Ookla. All of the normal amenities were in place, such as the microwave, small refrigerator and single serve coffee maker. The hotel has a luggage cart. My digital AC/heater worked well. The television had only a nice selection of channels but a good picture. The lobby was clean. The soda/snack machines seemed sparse, and only take cash. There is a guest laundry at the end of the first floor hallway, $2 to wash, $2 to dry, the laundry detergent machine was out of order. The fitness center appeared to be unavailable and no business center that I saw. I didn't see any crawly critters, but did see evidence of them. They are remodeling, so I'll give them the benefit of the doubt and stay again at some point to see if it improves.

image ROACHES GALORE!!!!!!
My stay at Baymont in Jacksonville was nothing short of a nightmare. From the moment I walked into the lobby, I was greeted by a musty smell that hinted at the lack of cleanliness lurking within. Despite my initial reservations, I proceeded to check in, hoping for the best.
However, as soon as I entered my room, any hope I had vanished. The sight that greeted me was appalling. Cockroaches scurried across the floor, walls, and even the bed. It was as if the room was their own personal playground. The filth and neglect were unmistakable, making it clear that cleanliness was not a priority for the staff.
To make matters worse, during the night, I discovered that my beloved dog had gone missing. Frantic, I searched every corner of the room, only to find a small opening in the wall where the cockroaches seemed to have made their nest. It was then that I realized they had taken my pet.
The following hours were filled with panic and desperation as I pleaded with the hotel staff for help. However, their response was dismissive and unhelpful, leaving me feeling utterly abandoned in my time of need.
In addition to the unsanitary conditions and the loss of my furry companion, the amenities promised by the hotel were severely lacking. The Wi-Fi was virtually nonexistent, the bedding was stained and worn, and the overall atmosphere was one of neglect and decay.
In conclusion, my experience here was nothing short of a nightmare. From the infestation of cockroaches to the heartbreaking loss of my dog, every aspect of my stay was a disappointment. I strongly advise against staying at this establishment unless you have a fondness for filth and a desire to risk the safety of your beloved pets!!!!
