First,I was really happy to se that this restaurant had survived the pandemic as I had not eaten here in several years but the food today was as good as it always had been.They have expanded the menu with many more options but I went with fried chicken, mashed potatoes with gravy and the green beans. The chicken was fresh and piping hot,the mash potatoes are real and the green beans tasted like they came out of a garden. If you don't save any room for dessert, just get a slice of one of their delicious pies to take home and enjoy later.

As I entered the restaurant I was immediately reminded of the importance of old fashioned establishments. Back when a home cooked meal was made with love, not chemicals. This is such a place. The chicken fried steak was heavenly and the mashed potatoes were better than the ones my mother used to make. But the crown jewel has got to be the foot high apple pie that I took home. Simply put; it was so magnificent that it was almost a shame to eat. If you have not eaten here, you are not truly living. Come on down.
