I applied for Aspiritech back in February. They said it would take 1-3 months due to a lot of people who applied. I didn’t hear anything so I tried to call the Chicago and Highland Park offices, but neither of them answered. I emailed the head of the company and they said they’re halting the interview process because of the virus. Okay, that’s fine, but you guys should’ve let me and other applicants know about that sooner. You need to to work on updating people.
Update 6/9/2021: A year later, I get an email saying “ Unfortunately, we have not been able to hire as many as we wish that we could. We have had your application for quite a while, so we wanted to touch base and see if you are still interested in Aspiritech.” Well, not anymore. There’s no point in staying interested if the company’s unable to to hire much more people. O already got a new job anyway. So much for “highest employer for people with autism.”

If you're exceedingly high functioning, you're better off finding a corporate position with more potential but Aspiritech is a commendable institution that has the best intentions for an autistic person's success
