We came with a group of 7 girls. The service and food was great! Our server was able to provide some great food and wine reservations based on what we told him we liked. The chef, John, came out and said hello to us and cooked and AMAZING dinner and then overall meal. The food had such vibrant flavors within every bite! From starters to dessert... we just couldn't stop eating! We will be back soon!!

Update (2/9/17): Decided to give them another shot, this time during Restaurant Week. This time around they got it right. The food made me remember my recent trip to France and how I miss the food and flavors. The escargot was cooked perfectly, the steak for my steak frites was spot on medium rare and the frites were nice and crispy, and the Creme Brûlée was spot on! I wish I was still in France right about now. Update (7/15): Just got back from France this last week (before the Tragedy in Nice) and I can attest that the food here is nowhere close to the real thing in France. Yeah, this IS the USA. But if you claim to be "close to home" you have to live up to it. Original review: I became aware of this restaurant after watching that Mystery Diners show on Food Network. Should be noted, neither of the 2 chefs that were featured on the show work there anymore. Anyway, I'll be going to France in about a month from now, so I decided to get familiar with some French dishes. Upon arrival, the waiter was kind of pushy asking what I want to have right off the bat. I asked what would he recommend, in which he practically mentioned everything on the menu. But, I decided on the escargot and the bouillabaisse, 2 items that were staples of French cuisine. The escargot came first. Now, I've had this dish before at a non-French restaurant and I really liked it. This time around I thought it was good, but not as good as I used to have it. Maybe it was the Pernod that it was made with, who knows. But I finished it along with the small baguette served in a brown paper bag the bus boy left on he table. Then the bouillabaisse (seafood soup). For one, it was not traditional as real bouillabaisse is made with a type of scorpion fish rarely found in the US. This one was made with Atlantic salmon and had 1 piece of shrimp, some small scallops, muscles, and clams. It wasn't bad at all. I'm just wondering how the real thing would compare. The crostini with the red bell pepper aioli was really good. Then came dessert. I ordered the dark chocolate terrine. What came out was a dense dark chocolate brownie split in 2 triangles with raspberry sauce on the bottom. I thought it was ok, but was expecting something else. Overall, I can't judge French cuisine by just visiting one place. It will be interesting comparing what I had to what I will be having in France. But for now, this is the standard of what I'm basing French cuisine to be.

Service was slow and none of the entries arrived hot. Warm, but not hot. Only about 6 entries on the menu. The steak frites is advertised as a hanger steak, but it looked like a strip steak. It was tasty, but not warm enough to melt the butter on top. Also a small portion.
