I have been going here for a few years now and have been treated with such warm hospitality and professionalism. The office is clean, well managed and the tax preparer is EXTREMELY knowledgeable about new tax laws and changes. I have nothing but positive feedback on my experiences over the year’s. Customers can also enjoy coffee, tea and / or light refreshments while having their taxes prepared.

Mrs. Joanne was very professional and helpful while helping me with my business and personal taxes. She also has an array of financial tools to further assist me throughout the year. Amazing experience 2 years in a row!

After being stood up for an appointment with another tax service, I called Q & P Tax Services. I spoke with Joann who made an appointment to see me later the same day. Professional, pleasant and answered any questions I had. She quickly prepared my taxes. Exceptional customer service. I would highly recommend Q & P Tax Services, if you are looking for someone to prepare your taxes.

NOTE: Proof of service is attached to match the validity of my experience. My family/friends have known Joann Pittman-Woodard at Q&P Tax Service for many years from religious service. It was natural to support and get a consultation from a black-owned religious professional, but that was that an extremely bad and time-consuming experience that still haunts me today with the IRS. On or around July 28, 2020, I was referred to reached out to Joann W. to chat and schedule an appointment. She accepted and openly stated that she would confidently prepare my taxes as a result of saving (money/time), and getting back a refund, even if I had not filed the prior year before. She mentioned that "it will not be a problem at all". On or around August 8, 2020, at the scheduled time, I arrived. She mentioned she was finishing up with another client. I waited patiently with my documents (W2, tax forms, receipts, etc.) for 20-25 minutes. This drew the first red flag at a time of year that is not busy for tax professionals, but without assuming and being respectful, I remained patient. After finally finishing my taxes, she reiterated everything she stated over the phone once more and took a pen to point at figures printed on a stack of tax forms/agreements. She said: "THIS IS WHAT YOU WILL GET BACK AND THIS IS WHAT YOU PAY ME". As a sign of respect for her time (though my time was not respected when I arrived), I respectfully said ok. I packed up and paid her upfront (instead of her taking her fees from the tax refund later). ABOUT THREE MONTHS PASSED (November 2020), and I received no payments to my account and follow-ups from the IRS. I sent those follow-ups via email and text to Joann and got no response. I called every two days after but still got no response. Time went by so far that I had to involve my family/friends. She spoke with them and they let her know to simply, communicate. She told them that I should try calling again in the evening after normal business hours though I have called/texted multiple times a day). We finally speak a week later and she unprofessionally attempts to express how upset she is with me as if she paid for my services. Respectfully, I explained that I still did not receive anything and still rely on her service. I knew it would not benefit me to meet her unprofessional tone. I remained amicable and continued to try to create a more productive conversation. She continued to attempt to raise her voice and use condescending language, though my tone and choice of words remained respectful seeing she was referred to me by a religious family/friend. That call ended with her saying she will follow back up with me within a week after speaking with the IRS once more. ABOUT SIX MONTHS PASSED (January 2021), she had not gotten back to me and I reached out. She then had the lighter skin woman who sits in front of her answer the phone for about a week straight once every two days. She kept saying, "I will take a message and she will contact you back later in the day". Still no call back via email, nor phone. ABOUT NINE MONTHS PASSED (March 2021), she still has not gotten back to me and I reached out. Again, she then had the lighter skin woman who sits in front of her answer the phone for about a week straight once every two days. At this point, she's ignoring me, but I continue to receive letters from the IRS as I try to figure something out that I paid her for. IT'S NOW ONE YEAR (JULY 30, 2021), she still has not gotten back to me and I reached out via email, text, and phone. She has answered calls from others but prefers to be negligent and unprofessional. We do not suggest attending Q&P Tax Service, nor work with Joann Pittman-Woodard and her/their staff. Unfortunately, it was an even worse 2020-2021 pandemic at a time people are being laid off and dismissed from work. I am still trying to receive my refund and a call and solution from her until this day... -J
