NGenius installed a Tap TV system along with 19 TV's, 8 DirecTV boxes and a full audio system/rack approx 3.5 years ago in a new restaurant for us. Here is where the big problem came into play, we had a Comed power outage in February 2019 and the Episode UPS/Surge protector NGenius plugged our 3 Crown amplifiers into failed, and all 3 Crown Amps blew. Everything else on the rack that was not plugged into the Episode came back up and work fine. The amps were able to be fixed by replacing the power switches on all 3. Since then, I have spent over a month trying to get NGenius to cover the repairs of the 3 amps since the Episode has a 5 year warranty on all units plugged into it that fail. Stephen at NGenius has been going round n round with me and they have not provided any help whatsoever. They claim its up to Episode to pay us since they made the unit. But when I called SnapAv, manufacturer of Episode, they tell me they do not deal directly with the consumer, they only deal with the installer. SnapAv also told me that the 3 Crown amps should not of been plugged into the Episode unit NGenius sold and installed for us. Even after telling this to Stephen and asking him to get the owner of NGenius involved, I still have not received any calls or emails from them. It's sad to think NGenius will not stand behind the products they sold us and installed for us, especially after we paid them a bunch of money for our AV system. The best way to judge a company is how they handle issues as they arise...this is where NGenius showed how much they just don't care. We will not be using NGenius for any of our restaurants ever again.

Update 2. I received a letter from their attorney threatening to sue me, and demanding that I take my defamatory posts off of "social media". Due to character constraints, I cannot post the letter on Google, however, I was able to post it on Yelp. What I have written is true, every word about my experience, the fact that they never finished the job after telling me they would, and the fact that they stopped payment on my refund check. I sent the emails to their attorney along with the check showing they stopped payment from my bank, she ignored my email. Below are two emails they sent telling me they were getting the parts and that they would finish the job. 1. Once we get our hands on the controller we will schedule for install. Thanks, Parker Lewellyn 2. November 29, 2017 Vincent, Unfortunately, Ben is no longer with NGSI. I’m sorry your home system slipped through the cracks. Let me work with Parker to see what we need to get done to finish your project. Will be in touch soon. Thank you, Maria Morales NGSI - N Genius Solutions Update. They sent me a refund check for parts and labor that was not completed. When the check was deposited I learned that they stopped payment on the check like the shady crooks I believe they are. These people dishonest, period. I had them out to reprogram my Elan whole home system, and when they were out they mentioned that there was more that could be done with my existing system, along with potential upgrades, as the system was approaching 7 years old. I asked for a quote for the upgrade option, along with simply getting my video switch up and running. I was clear that I was leaning towards simply keeping the old system in place, as it works fine. They gave me a quote for ~$25,000 to replace the entire system, and a quote for ~$3,300 to get my switch working. I chose the $3300 option. I paid the deposit of $2,700, and scheduled my appointment. The day of the appointment a guy came out, put in my new modem and 2 wifi extenders. Then, after pulling a wall plate he sat down and told me there were some converters for the wall plates and they would need to order them. I was told I would hear from them , "next week". That was October 13. Needles to say, I never heard from them, and, after about 5 calls I was told they got 5 of the eleven needed converters and were working on the others. Again, several weeks went by and I had to call several times before being told that they never got any converters, nor were they ever trying to get them. I was shocked and appalled. I was then told that my only option, if I was going to use them, was the total system upgrade. I refused and was told that they would be charging me $2500 to expand my wireless network, something I only had them do because they would be in there working on the other items, otherwise I would have done it myself. To make matters worse, the install was done incorrectly, creating a loop, which caused my Directv on demand to not work. I have asked them to simply pick up all the items and issue a full refund, as they did not provide the services I asked for and they have refused, only refunding me for the parts they did not use, somehow charging me for several hours labor, when the tech was at my house for an hour. They are , in my opinion, unprofessional, and untrustworthy. If the only choice was to replace the entire system I would have told them no in the first place, rather than play this game where they send someone out who will tell me that, contrary to what I was told, more than once, the job they proposed cannot be done. Needless to say, I will never do business with them, and would not recommend them to anyone.
