Fiesta Del Sol

Fiesta del Sol 2021! Held once a weekend a year and billed as the largest Hispanic festival in the Midwest. It's more or less another carnival type festival with carnival type band music (1 latino band stand & 1 DJ tent) and mostly Mexican food tents and vendors selling a lot of overpriced (mostly) junk. The lines to get food was ridiculous too long, longer than the taste of Chicago. The lines for the rides were even longer. The long lines made it difficult to navigate past the crowd taking 15-20 minutes to walk one end of the festival to the other end. The problem is the festival is too narrow (being held in an approximately 8-block section of Cermak) and the "big city" sewerage smell wreaked the grounds.

Honestly, fiesta del sol is not what it used to be. It smelled gross near the food stands, unsanitary smell. It was not a pleasant visit.
