    If youre in the wicker park area, looking for physical therapy, here at Rush they definitely made me feel comfortable. Tabitha was amazing , she called and was able to get me in earlier . Thank you !!!

    Tabitha was very helpful. She has great customer service. She was dealing with a very difficult patient when I walked in. Eventhough the patient was very rude she still remained professional. She assisted me with all the questions about therapy.

    This review is based solely on the experience of the front desk rep Tammy. We came in on 8/8 for my ADULT son's 1st visit. She mentions that they didn't run the benefits correctly and only put him in for 1 visit so she fixed it although that's not her job. I thanked her and then we finished the paperwork. The therapist took my son back for his appt. Then Tammy called me up to the desk to schedule his follow ups. She mentions how boys don't move then follows that up with how she has 3 boys herself and only one is a self starter. I state that's not the case with my son as he has been very independent. I ask if he can schedule his own appts at check out because he runs his own schedule and will be starting college in 2 weeks. She responds with a rude demeanor "Well I'm about to leave for the day". We schedule the following week and I had to go ask my son in the middle of his appt for his preference. I had asked my son for his new school schedule the day before but he didn't which was his bad of course yet we discussed having appts before school since their hours reflect 7:30am. I tell Tammy this and her response is "just ignore the hours on the door because they're going to change, I don't have any mornings" She offers me an evening but since I didn't have my sons new schedule she says you can go back there and ask him. Now this is the 2nd time I go interrupt him while he's having his appt. I was feeling very frustrated at the fact that I had to keep interrupting his appt and his schedule wasn't loading yet because they were still doing updates on his school portal. I walk back to Tammy and say "can he call tomorrow at his leisure when he has his schedule to set up the rest of his visits?" She responds with "I don't schedule appts over the phone" with the same demeanor and I say excuse me. She says the same thing again" I felt as if every solution I was putting as an option was being shut down so I step outside to make a very important call of my own for my medical reasons before my MDs office closed. That gave me a moment to take a few breaths because so far this interaction was not pleasant at all. After 5-7 minutes I walk back inside take a seat then go back up and ask her for her name and ask if we are locked in to that location or what it would take to switch to a different office because I didn't like the way that interaction was going. She proceeds to tell me how I can transfer care. I mention I started therapy for myself at Rush Lincoln Park PT and had a great experience so would rather travel than deal with the current situation because how would my son schedule if I wasn't there and she was leaving? She responds "well I don't like your demeanor so don't expect me to be all peaches" I say what time are you leaving anyways and she says in like 20-25 mins. I tell her that's past the time my son's appt will be over and she could have just scheduled him at checkout instead of giving me a hard time. I continue by saying that I will make sure to write a complaint/review about my experience and mention how it had nothing to do with the therapist yet everything to do with how she treated the situation. That I myself am a Rush employee and schedule for a living so I understand schedules are hard but this wasn't the demeanor I give to patients. Suddenly something changes she raises her hand in a wave and says "I think there's a miscommunication here because you were saying you wanted to schedule over the phone but lets start over" that was not the case but at this point I'm over it so I let her talk. She says she's only trying to help and that she's even gone above and beyond by re running his benefits even though it's out of her scope. She somehow then manages to schedule my son at either 7:30am or 8am for the next 8 wks and proceeds to say I'm lucky she's there because if it wasn't her the temps that work there don't know how to move the schedule around and wouldn't be able to even schedule us until another 3 weeks. I was just glad she managed to give us the appts but that was so unnecessary and stress inducing
