Absolutely love it. This has been a lifesaver for our family. Chef Rebecca is wonderful, and we have loved everything that she has made. She always comes up with a menu that includes a variety of wonderful dishes. Our (usually picky) kids love it… and the food is healthier than we may otherwise eat. Also love that it saves us time and money on groceries. We are able to spend more time as a family with this service.

Alright, here’s the rub on FTC and more specifically he’d Felipe.
I raise cattle for a living and I care deeply for my herd. I try really hard to provide the best life that I can for my animals. It is extremely important to me that my animals are respected for the nutrition they provide myself, my family, and my customers. I like to know that the protein they have provided us with is not wasted but prepared well and enjoyed fully.
I was extremely skeptical when my wife informed me that Chef Felipe would be preparing meals for us and our busy family. I never thought that my life would include or need a personal chef. I didn’t attend the initial consultation and was, admittedly, determined to derail this venture quickly. Chef asked us to leave out some meat for him so I chose a chuck roast from our freezer as a sort of test to see what he would do with it. Would it prepare it the same old way that our mothers and grandmothers would - Just tossed in the oven for hours without much thought or attention?
No.
Chef Felipe took that cut of beef and prepared a red wine braised chuck roast that stopped me in my tracks. I’m extremely proud to have Chef Felipe prepare meals from my animals and whether he knows it or not he honors them with the amazing dishes he serves. Since then it hasn’t let up. We are consistently receiving meals that are either showstopping entrees or depending on our week easy choices for kids to munch on without any arguments. He even names his sauces and dishes after our kids and that little gesture makes them excited to try “their” meal. His attention to little details have made our lives as parents so much easier. The best thing about it is that I don’t believe he is aware he does it. It’s just his genuine personality to do the little things.
Chef Felipe is a valued member of our extended family and I can’t say enough about our experience with him.

Chef Felipe in Kansas City has been AH-MAZING. Food is outstanding and he really does a great job of listening to our requests and individualizing our food. Each week he texts us to inquire how the previous week's food was and what special requests we have for the upcoming week. I think we may be actually breaking even or spending LESS because he has this magic trick where our groceries cost less than half what we usually spend at the grocery store. Keep up the good work, Felipe. See you Tuesday!

Chef Damar in St. Louis has been amazing! One of the best decisions I've made is using this service and I am extremely happy with the food, the consultations, and Chef Damar's help with my strict diet.

Great service for 9 months, then suddenly No More Chef for us:
We had a personal chef from Friend that Cooks for about 9 months. She did a great job and worked hard to please our palettes and our low carb dietary goals. It solved the problem of my husband asking me what's for dinner when I'm busy with work, and we made some progress on weight loss goals. Not every dish was exactly how I would have made it myself, but she made some really great dishes we liked. Then, suddenly, FTC re-tasked our chef to another service area with zero notice and no replacement chef, and no timeframe to assign a replacement. After 9 months of being a steady customer and refining our goals/likes/and dislikes with this particular chef, this was wholly unexpected and makes me wonder what might be going on with staffing at FTC as cooks/chefs go back to restaurants post-pandemic. Not really much of an apology offered either, just, "we'll put you on the waitlist."
