The creativity, the" melange des genres of the choregraphies mixing style of dancing as ancient as Asia itself with touches of modernism, always make Mandala, a spectacle of beauty and pleasure of the senses. The richness of the costumes, the talent of the dancers and the musicians are brought to life by the wonderful Pranita Jain_Nayar and her company.

Mandala Arts, as led by founder and Executive Director Pranita Nayar, is dedicated to creating artistic programs that serve community wants and needs. Programs, like Mandala's annual "The Story of Ram", create a beautiful and inclusive representation of traditional artistry that incorporate a wide array of South Asian performing arts traditions. Associate Artistic Director Ashwaty Chennat's artistic, educational, and performance leadership in "The Story of Ram" and all of Mandala's programming brings a socially-minded, artistically rich, and educationally engaging approach to her work with Mandala. With Nayar and Chennat's sincere and professional leadership, Mandala Arts is increasingly becoming a force of social and artistic celebration, inclusivity and innovation in the Chicagoland region.

Such a beautiful showcase of diverse, impactful artists. A powerful cultural experience for anyone living in and visiting Chicago! I love to keep an eye on the different shows they produce, which have storytelling, emotion, and style. The classes I've taken with Mandala have built both my strength and artistry, while teaching me more about my cultural heritage. I wish I was still in Chicago full-time to take classes as well, but I'll keep a lookout for any opportunity to be involved in the future.
