        What an experience! Seeing Black excellence at it's finest is beyond words!! I don't think I have the capacity to describe my sense of pride as we watched Mr. Terrence Blanchard's opera before my eyes. My heart had plethora of emotions as the overture began. We're ecstatic that The Lyric brought extremely talented artists of minority status to perform this powerful opera, 'Fire Shut Up In My Bones' to Chicago. Thank you!! I've become 'walking advertisement' for this. I've told family & friends across the US to go a see it!! Thank you Lyric Opera House for an evening of elegance (had a gown on & a man in front of me had jeans & soft shoes, we both were in da' hse.) & joy!!
