Do not go to this shop for maintenance. Took my 2001 Harley Fat Boy in to have them fix a flat tire, they informed me I needed new brakes on the rear of my bike. I knew this was coming so I gave them the go ahead. Said the bike would be done in an hour and a half, it was done 6 hours later. I drove it home and it seemed fine, I only live a few blocks away. The following weekend I took a road trip to see my brother and some friends in Whitewater lake Wisconsin and when I tried to stop at the BRAT stop for lunch I almost slammed into the back of a semi due to no rear brakes !! Good thing I grew up on dirt bikes and took my Fat Boy off road and pumped the heck out of the brakes to build up pressure and come to a stop. Pulled over at the BRAT stop and tested the brakes and found that if I pumped them they would work. I finished my trip and returned home. A week later I brought the bike back to Champion on a Tuesday at 10 AM and the guy in the showroom told me "the service center normally starts around 10 or so" at 10:25 the service center opened and explained the story, they said they would take care of it right away. later that night I called to see if they had fixed my bike and was told "the guy who worked on your bike did not come in today" The next day I called about 11AM to check on my bike was told they could not find the paperwork and they will find it and call me back. Again later that night I called them and was told my rear brake disc was bent and it was not their fault. I just picked up my bike to get it away from this place. There was other minor things that a real shop would not do, when I picked up my bike it had grease all over the tail pipes and my understanding of a brake job is cut/milled rotor's and new brake pads, they just tossed new brake pads on the bike. All that was minor to almost getting me killed. DO NOT GO HERE. That being said in the showroom they have some cool old bikes. My mom told me never to say all bad unless you say something good, so there you have it. I really wish this was not the case because it would have been very convenient for me to have a trustworthy motorcycle dealer/service center at this location. Update, I ordered a new rear brake rotor to replace the one damaged by Champion. I ordered from Harley for $149.00, Champion had told me it would be over $300.00 just for the rotor, so look for a 50% mark up on parts at this place also. Just drove past Champion and it's still open for biz, how does this place stay open? Turns out they have closed their doors !! I knew it was a matter of time.
