Anytime that I have gone to an event at this venue, there is always some kind of issue. Most recently, my girlfriend and I were both refused entry to a show because one of the security boys had a personal feud against us. He wanted to "teach us a lesson" by making us go back for a forgotten ID only to refuse entry once we returned. I understand being rejected at the door for other reasons (like being intoxicated or trying to bring in contraband), but his reasoning was for "talking back." Long story short, neither myself nor my girlfriend will ever attend an event here again. There are plenty of other venues in this city that offer better food, drinks, and live sound than
Chop Shop.

Went here to see a show, decided to have dinner here as well. Making a reservation was really easy, and they communicated with us very well. The food was average for what you would expect from a "$$" restaurant on Google maps, the smash burger I ordered was solid but unspectacular, but the fries were really good. Service was also solid but unspectacular - they weren't crazy busy but there did only seem to be one waitress taking care of all the tables upstairs and she probably could've used some help because of all the tables she was responsible for was a lot. No complaints though, just nothing special.
The atmosphere was really cool though - the brick interior and the decor really complimented the whole vibe of the place. The concert room is nice and small, giving you a great view of the stage from anywhere in the room, the speakers were in good condition, and you could also clearly see and hear everything from the seats just outside of the little room.
Parking: Parking on the street near the restaurant was hard to find.

Went to a great concert here. Small venue but easy to see the stage and move around. Will be back for sure
