He is very knowledgeable and has a great deal of experience in dealing with the courts. He is always very prepared and has a great deal of patience. I had a great experience hiring Steve McCann to represent us. We had an ice dam and roof leak at our home in Chicago and our insurance company tried to only pay for about half the damages. After much frustration dealing w/ them, I engaged Steve. He was able to clearly articulate our rights, inform me of our insurance company's responsibilities, and lay out the possible path ahead. In the end, our insurance company paid out the full amount they owed us, and I learned a lot from Steve about the tactics employed by insurance companies. Highly recommended!

I have had the distinct privilege of working with Steve McCann over the past four years. When I first met Steve I had just bought my first house at 24 years old and didn't have much house experience, let alone know where to start with a lawsuit. Finding an attorney who handles real estate litigation was not an easy task. Steve was able to determine after one consultation that we were dealing with "failure to disclose material defects on the purchase contract". With that we began our journey. Steve could not have predicted how difficult this case would be. The individuals that I purchased my home from attempted every possible trick to end our suit. They would show up to court and ask for an extension, switch lawyers mid- trial, attempt to intimidate Steve, and refuse to settle. Ultimately Steve persevered and we won at trial. Not only did we win but the judge ruled 100% of damages, attorney's fees, and costs be reimbursed as well. I can say with full confidence that Steve took this case as personally as I did. Working with someone for years forms an understanding and trust that cannot be put into words. The hours, resources and manpower spent dedicated to my case is immeasurable.
