Paul is great! He goes into great detail on how you can improve your hair care routine. Ive had my fair share of haircuts gone wrong - but Paul knows what hes doing with curly hair and wants to help you know too!

Paul is the absolute best when it comes to this main of mine! As you curly haired girls know it's next to impossible to find the right stylist to take care of us. Paul is the BEST. I have had many stylists over the years and as long as Paul and I live in the same city he will be my guy FOREVER. You will not be disappointed! Book with Paul NOW!

Curlybar at Salon Lofts is NOT a good option if you are still worried about COVID-19. I am a family caregiver to an elder who is recovering from a stroke. After I booked my appointment, I made multiple attempts to call, text and email Paul with no reply. I was excited to see him after reading all his great reviews, but I needed to understand his health & safety policies given that the pandemic is NOT OVER for those who are chronically ill, disabled, or immunocompromised. I was disappointed that I hadnt heard from him, but still went to my appointment thinking we could discuss in person. When I arrived, not only were other clients moving freely between rooms and the lobby without masks, but there also were no air purifiers and all the rooms share ventilation. But my real frustration was his timeliness. Paul didnt even walk into Salon Lofts until almost 15 minutes AFTER our appointment started! I wish Paul all the bestespecially considering how much the industry took a hit during the pandemicbut this was a very unprofessional experience and I will not be back again. Service: Haircut

CURLYBAR PAUL I had a shocking experience. I booked a haircut at the end of January for February 10th at 1:30 pm. Curlybar Paul Martinez kept texting and emailing me to be on time for my appointment and to wear a mask I got 3 text messages from Paul and two emails. I did respond that I may have to take an Uber there if the snow has not melted on the day of my appointment as my garage and alley were all snowed in. Luckily for me, the snow melted on the day of my appointment. I arrived early so I could get good street parking and because I have a disability; I did not have to pay for street parking. I arrived early and Paul summoned me to wait in their waiting area as he was finishing up a client. I waited till 1:50 pm, Paul never came to apologize for keeping me waiting nor did he come back to I went to his studio. He was not there. I waited in his studio with the client and at 2:00 pm Paul shows up tells me to hang up my coat and escorts me back to the waiting area with no apologies. He then calls me to his studio at 2:30 pm sits me down to tell me he cannot cut my hair it is too curly for him is would recommend me to someone at the other end of town. I was so shocked that he wasted my time. His advertisement said he was a professional at curly hair and he has worked with the stars in Hollywood doing Deva Cuts on curly hair. I told him I do not need his recommendations and I have had several white people doing my hair no one ever said they could not cut my hair. Most of the time I go to Vidal Sasson who during covid left their Chicago location. I was so angry that he was picking and choosing what type of curly hair he wants to do. In his business, you do not discriminate on the hair type or color of the clients you want to have. His business should be shut down for False Advertising and for Racism and Discrimination. If he cannot cut my hair he is not a professional as all top hairdressing schools teach their students to cut all types of hair Vidal Sasson and Paul Mitchell The School, along with Mario Tricoci all train their students to specialize in every hair type on this earth. RACISM IS NOT ACCEPTED IN CHICAGO OR IN THE STATE OF ILLINOIS Service: Haircut
