Modani Furniture Chicago

I wish I could go back in time and tell myself not to shop from Modani. The experience was the worst I've ever had when buying furniture. The salesman was nice enough and the checkout process was good, but everything turned around as soon as I signed on the dotted line. I didn't hear from anyone regarding the (countless) delays in getting my furniture. I had to be the one to call and I always got a different excuse or was referred to someone new to speak to. The bedroom set took over a month longer to deliver than what was promised in the store. Now, 18 months later, a piece of the bed completely collapsed! In looking at other reviews of the bed on Yelp (which also collapsed in other areas), it's clear the pieces are just glued together or screwed in with TINY screws. None of it is made well. I'm just thankful one of my cats wasn't under it when the beam collapsed, because they like to sleep there. I had to pay an additional $150 to have a handyman come over and repair it. Now I'm nervous other pieces may start to buckle. Just shoddy products. Do your research and go somewhere else.

David did a great job putting together our Babyletto Hudson Crib and Dresser set for a very reasonable price. Would definitely use him again for other jobs!

On the website and store sign says that they are open. We drove for 40 min to find out that the store is closed. Great customer service!

I am happy with the look and quality of their furniture, but I would never buy from them again. The bed was delivered with the wrong parts by people who had no idea how to put it together. It was constructed improperly with far too few screws as was required and collapsed the second time it was used. They came out on multiple occasions, each time missing the needed part to correct the problem. When someone came out who knew what they were doing, they were able to make it usable, but they notified me that the footboard that was delivered was the wrong part, it was actually an extra side board, so two holes were left exposed, and it was slightly too large. After dozens of phone calls, photos exchanged, and a year, they notified me the part was no longer available. We are presently under talks on how they can compensate me, but I am not holding my breath. I truly do like the style of their furniture, the customer service is just VERY poorly organized, taking weeks to hear back from them, and when you do, it's via text. If you call them you get a glorified answering service, that passes your name on to whomever respond via text. Very disappointed.
