They are doing impressive things with French cuisine here. I was charmed by the mood and atmosphere but the menu and wine selection were the main event. Quite satisified with this as top choice for an unforgettable, romantic anniversary dinner.

Its was lovely to be reminded of how service and beautifully prepared cuisine can go together. This is no place for the hipsters. Almost a shrine to gastronomy part Escoffier part Robuchon. Foie was perfectly complimented by accompanying gastrique but sweet vs sour. Mushroom soup reminded how delicious it could be. Oysters were fresh and well schucked. Cassoulet could have benefited from a tiny Toulouse sausage but the veal and duck were delicious and the jus mopped up with the fresh bread. Cheese was delicious. The piece de resistance was an enormous GRand Marnier souffle , highly alcoholic but in a good way. Service was spot on , courses not arriving too quickly and wine poured at the right moment. The maitre D balancing humour with professionalism. The upstairs room comfortable , reminded me of La Grenouille in NYC. Wines are of course expensive but you can just about find for $125... The overall cost was $250 a person before service. If I was a Russian oligarch looking to spend my money quickly I would dine here alot..
